Hi all,
I just put the deposit down on my first Porsche (est delivery April 2022), so pardon my ignorance in the following post. I've found these forums incredibly helpful when navigating the byzantine configurator, so I figured I'd ask the pros before my build gets locked -
I'm getting a Turbo S (spec below), but I'm kind of torn with regards to the brake option. I'm going for a Mission E/Stormtrooper look, so the yellow calipers are a little jarring visually. The SA told me to add the high gloss black PCCB option for aesthetics, but based on the configurator it looks like they're smaller discs and calipers vs the standard yellow PCCBs. Am I being dumb in paying $900 extra for worse brakes, just for the sake of aesthetics? I'm not going to track the car, so I'm not sure brake fade/performance will be a big issue even with the smaller brakes. But at the same time, it just doesn't sit well with me to pay extra for an inferior option. Would love to hear any thoughts/advice on the subject.
Spec -
(Kind of went yolo; started small, but every time I logged into the forums, I ended up adding more and more options!)
-2022 Turbo S in Cararra White Metallic
-Red Bordeaux Interior
-21" Mission E wheels, with matching painted rims
-Front Protection Film
-Sport Design Front Fascia
-14-way comfort seats with massage option
-Premium Package
-Night Vision Assist
-Adaptive Cruise Control
-Burmester Audio
-On Board 150KW/400V DC Charger
-PCCB With Calipers in High Gloss Black
And then truly dumb stuff, which I know is overpriced, but is so marginal at this point that I added it anyway:
-Sport Chrono Stopwatch Dial in Bordeaux Red
-Under Door Puddle Light Projectors
-Pedals and Footrest in Aluminum
-Porsche Intelligent Range Manager
Option:
Standard
