I have ordered a Taycan which has not yet been delivered. I am wondering whether this will have the update. Has anyone recently taken delivery and does it have the update? I’m assuming not as the announcement refers to newly configured vehicles so i assume it only applies to cars configured after the announcement.

Just received my RWD yesterday, built late-December. Car does not have the PCM as described in the press release.

I was told by my local Porsche Center that all cars build from week 3 in 2022 (so from 17th January 2022) will have this update right from factory.

Mine was built late January but suspect it also won’t have it. How annoying to have a brand new car that is already out of date??

Do you know when your car entered production? And in case your car missed this update you will get it after delivery at your dealership

In late December. How do you know that the dealer will update it?

It is the battery that is heavier. If you fit a PB+ to a 4S ST it weighs the same as a 4S CT which has it as standard).

Ok, then you definitely don't have it on yet. My dealer did some researching at Porsche Stuttgart and they told him that it's very likely MY22 cars will get the update. What happens to "older" cars like MY20/21 is currently under investigation.
My Taycan (MY22) was delivered in October 21 so I'm keen to get the update as well. That's why I ask my dealer.

I have a strong feeling that Prosche will provide the update for older cars for a charge.
Reason being, they need to keep service revenue moving forward for dealerships.

For example they may do a Module and/or Software upgrade depending on the car.

My tingly senses are telling my these updates will cost around $1600.00.

I was looking at the FOD for Innodrive because I didn’t want to order it before testing. I did order ACC. The app says currently FOD is not available for model 2022. I presume it will be after the update. This is why I think all model 2022 will be updated to the latest version. My car will go in production next week or a bit later so I guess judiging earlier posts I will be OK.

Spoke to my dealer. He says there will be an update, just not sure when.

Have you more details for older models ?
Only thing I was told is that Porsche currently checks internally if MY20/21 can get this update due to different hardware compared to MY22.
