I would like to have chosen Run Flat tires instead of having a tire in the bag. But I did not have this option in Porsche configurator.

I thought it would be interesting to hear people's favourite options on their car and why.
List one or two.
Perhaps there was something that surprised you in its usability or fun factor. Doesn't matter what it is it's your choice.... your 21" wheels or your surround view camera, etc etc....

And whilst you're here you might as well list an option that you got that having the order placed again you might leave off and swap out for something else.

Be interesting to hear if there is any common themes....
I will say that the Sports Chrono might be my favourite. I really feel like a race driver when toggling through the different driving modes ?

if I can add the Bordeaux Red which really sets the sense of experience for me, being the first time I go so bold on the interior color ☺

Remote cooling! Temperatures are over 100 F (38 C) nearly every day here in the Arizona desert from mid-May through late September, so I'm going to enjoy turning on and running the air conditioner for a few minutes before I get in the car.

And my wife loves how the charging port door opens.

My favorite option is called “car actually gets delivered to customer”. It’s the most expensive option but I think it’s also the most valuable one (although I can’t really be sure).

Sadly, I failed to select that one. Though "on time" is a vague description as it seems to be undefined.

Sport Chrono by far. If you could actually set a default mode when you start the car it wouldn’t be as important, but as it is now it’s a must to be able to quickly switch modes.

As a second point I would actually say InnoDrive (+ ALK). Not because it’s amazing, but because for longer trips every car should have at least some basic form of self steering.

I’d say the opposite - I think this sort of option encourages people not to concentrate on their driving properly, and is likely to lead to issues.

Plus the option is expensive and, from feedback, doesn’t actually work that well. Certainly it’s not going to be on my build!

Just FYI. The reason the car doesn’t remember your driving mode between trips is due to regulations. Testing has to be conducted using the “default” driving mode and the car has to start up in that same mode every time.

It’s silly but it makes sense to a certain extent.

Perry. Thanks for this. I went back and forth on InnoDrive and decided to keep it. Yes, I heard folks talking about how it doesn't work so well but I am curious to test out something that attempts to reduce the stress of long drives.

And while I hear InnoDrive is a FOD now, I also read that the shop installed one gives you a few extra sensors up front that the FOD won't provide

Thanks again

It would be a bit old fashioned, but if they replaced the electric buttons etc with an actual mechanical switch of some kind, then i can't see that would be a problem. Probably not a great analogy, but in my first Range Rover (before everything became electric buttons), if you wanted the low ratio gear box, you moved a lever. It stayed where it was when you next came back to, and started the car. Surely that's the same thing - you start in the not normal/default drive mode?

I'd add that current Range Rover has same stupid principle. You select an off-road setting and do some tooling around in the countryside, park up. Come back and the car has decided that you're no longer axle deep in mud/sand/snow and actually back on tarmac. Dumb and arguably a bit dangerous.

Every one of the options. This is a daily driver, massage seats every day for drive home.

-------------
CT4
Cherry Metallic: GORGEOUS in the sun
Standard Interior in Black/ Limestone Beige: No complaint and do not miss the full leather.
Premium Package: "Completer Package" these should be standard
Roof Rails in Black Aluminum Finish: only one I have not yet use, will for bikes
Power Folding Exterior Mirrors: a must and should be standard
Deletion of Model Designation:
Rear Axle Steering: LOVE IT.
19" Taycan S Aero Wheels: waiting for the winter tires, Turbo S wheels for summer
All-Season Tires for 19" Wheels: live in Michigan...plus they will be discarded for winter tires
Technology Package: LOVE heads UP..
Porsche InnoDrive: not as good as BMW, make traffic jams less stressful..
Rear 2+1 Seats: used several times
Seat Heating (Front and Rear)
Massage Seat Function (Front) incl. Ventilated Seats (Front), YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Heated Steering Wheel; weak heat compared to BMW's
On-Board 150 kW/400V DC Charger: one I like will never realize the benefit.
-----------------------------

Do not miss (common options):

-Sports Chrono: If I want sport I push the "SPORT" in center screen ("Gravel" for hose with SC), and I have Drive select as the center of the "tri-screen" PCM screen.
-Sport SOUND: I love the quiet car.. and I can make all the sounds I want

----
Wish I had:
-Matrix Headlight now that they are US approved..
Does your vehicle have Air Suspension? I am trying to decide between Air and Spring.
