Hope it works out McgR! We pay a lot of money so deserve better communication than this. At least Frietzak heard from his Belgian dealer; I didn’t from my Dutch dealer. They have no confirmations, he stated.

Hi Frietzak (mooie naam, hier heet het ook gewoon friet en zéker geen patat zoals boven de rivieren) good to hear that you at least have an indication about the delivery date. Could the dealer give you this indication of delivery? Mine couldn’t, so today I mailed Porsche Netherlands. Just like Seacowe wrote above, it ought to be possible to give information about the queue that has occured and your position in this queue. Indigestible for a brand like Porsche, I wrote them. I’ll keep you informed about their answer.

Really bad communication. I had to send several mails to my Belgian dealer to get a delivery date. I am Dutch by the way but living in Belgium.

I don’t know if the dealer knows they changed delivery dates and don’t care / don’t want to make lots a unpleasant phone calls or they are not informed by Porsche Germany either.

I ordered winter tires to take the car to Austria end February. When the delivery was delayed they told me I misunderstood the date. I wouldn’t have ordered winter tires this year if delivery was after our holidays. Asked them to cancel them and order them for December but they won’t because they are already delivered (and so are the snow chains). I had to send a mail my self several days after the promised out of factory date to found out it didn’t.

They didn’t come with other build info spontaneously. I ordered matrix headlights and knew before them from this forum they would be cancelled. Called them on Friday and they said I was misinformed but they called me back on Saturday to confirm my info was correct and matrix wasn’t possible anymore on my build.

They did give me a call with lots of apologies that it didn’t come out of factory 8/3 like they confirmed by mail earlier.

Got another call if I ordered the optional mobile charger connect. My leasing company called the dealer that somehow the price was about 1.000 euro more than what I sent them as my final build. Turns out one of the sales guys added the optional charger to my build because someone else forgot to order it and it is cheaper to order it with a new car than buy a separate one. And they were going to give my the base charger which I wanted anyway. Not a big deal but with all other miscommunication this was nice to hear.

Thanks McgR for your extended message. Indeed more examples of bad communication. Hope the price of the expensive matrix headlights is at least deducted from the final bill. When I ordered my Taycan, the electric adjustable steering wheel could not be guaranteed. It was not certain that this would be solved afterwards, the dealer said. Strange, you pay for it. At the end he put in my contract to solve this later at their costs when the needed chips are available again. Hope for good news for you this Friday.

Hi Bennie,

Last week I called the local dealer for ST lead times and he said to come back in another week or so as they would get more information from Porsche. So I went to the dealer yesterday for a GTS ST and it the sales rep was crystal clear: they don't have any production data for any current ST models. He could only give guesses and after bugging him as I didn't want to possibly wait a year or more for a new config and wanted to pick an allocated model, he showed me database of all 'incoming' models and indeed ALL had no production date. It were a couple of dozen ST and CT's and the rep was as frustrated as I was as. He suspected some models to be delivered in May and June, but honestly it was just a 'best guess'.

By your location data I suspect I went to the other dealer in the same holding group, so I probably saw your model as well and can confirm it had no date. Sorry!

Hi Roger, thanks for your reaction. The good news: there is in the meantime a database that the dealer can consult to see whether an ordered car will be delivered. Although I live in the south, I didn’t order my car at one of the two dealerships of the holding but in Twente. Let’s hope that I’m on their list of ‘to be delivered in May or June’… I’ll keep you informed, also about the answer I expect from Porsche Netherlands.

Hi Bennie, waiting for RWD ST as well from PCE. They have informed me that as of now, they expect to deliver in June, whereas I should have gotten the car next week under normal circumstances.

Hi Tom, that’s good news for you. Perhaps similar to mine? Production slot was for week 11, this could mean delivery week 15 or so? Begins to sound like a lottery... I’ll keep you all informed.

Hi Bennie, I also ordered mine at "Twente" they showed me two months ago on their database that I have a "production slot" for week 17. It hasn't been changed since. So no Ukraine impact??? funny thing is that I don't have an delivery estimate, only production.

I just received a phone call from Porsche Netherlands with good news. Glad they reacted quickly on my mail from Saturday. My car went as planned in product in week 11, but due to the factory closing was paused. I heard that the production in Zuffenhausen is slowly beginning again. Because my car was on the production line when it stopped, there is a possibility that it comes out of the factory at the end op April. Delivery in May would be awesome. I’ll keep, as Tom said, my fingers crossed.

I had a 3/1 lock date and 5/6 delivery date. TYD shows TBD. But my dealer says my car's in production.

Just got an email saying my lock date is approaching (4/29), and isn't changed from the last one before TYD went blank. Not sure if that's true or the automated email doesn't have the latest

I got the same email. My TYD is still TBD as well.
Same here. TYD is blank (TBD) and email reports my original lock date of 4/29. I spoke with my SA last week who said that it still shows 4/29 in their system as well… I have since modified my configuration a few times, hoping all the changes will be processed correctly…
