Why not use the button on the center screen instead of taking up one of the universal buttons?

Because it takes multiple taps and you have to leave whatever screen you have up. The instrument cluster button just opens the door straightaway, assuming you only have 1 programmed. Much more convenient and faster.

Do you know when your car plans to board the Vessel. My GTS has been at Emden since June 29th to come to Benicia California. It says 0 days to the estimated day - July 29th - Any idea and the name of the vessel ?

It might be worth mentioning that some of the things noticed by members as being new/different in this thread and others were already in the 2022 MY software prior to the update. Just in case anyone is confused when someone says something is new but you already have that on a 2022 without the update.

I am scheduled for my update on 8/15. My dealer is doing its first batch of cars now.

I'm particularly excited about the efficiency and fast charging improvements. I've put 15k miles on my Taycan 4S since March -- yes, I road trip the heck out of this thing.

I am also contemplating the 22kw Level 2 upgrade. Need to get pricing on the install for that. I've got a Lightning coming and planning on doing the beefy Level 2 setup at home.

It doesn't take multiple taps because it's on the same section as the LTE/Phone/Carplay section of the screen so it's always visible so you don't have to leave any screen. It's the same single tap as the joker button. It's just a farther away, but still well within arms reach.

This works only if you have one door programmed. If 2 or 3, the pop-up appears to select which door. Where are the hard homelink buttons on the overhead console or my mirror? LOL

I wish for the hard mirror buttons as well!! Sometimes, I am almost (almost) tempted to clip the opener on the sun visor like the old days!

Weird, yeah I don't know why it's not showing up on yours as it did on mine. Mine is a MY22 as well.

With my 4S, driving sport all the time, I got over 17% improvement in autonomy, moving from 310Km to 360Km

As far as I can tell reading this thread, all these updates have already been present in my MY2022 since I’ve had the car (Dec 2021).

I am scheduled for an update next week so I guess the only new thing I can look forward to are those garish new icon colors (and perhaps improved stability? I have had much issue there either)
