Same here. But I think dealer / SA was just telling you based on TYD.
The vessel schedule is showing its arriving at the SD port on 11/24. I remain optimistic the car should be at the dealer by 12/02 although having been disappointed many times...............

Thanks! This is my first Porsche (coming from a long line of Tesla and MBZ vehicles), so I am not too familiar with the delivery process. If I may ask, what's TYD? I need to take delivery by 12/31 for tax reasons, otherwise, week or two makes no difference.

TYD = Track Your Dream. You can log on to your Porsche account and track the progress. I think the dealer / SA have access to the same information. For us on Grand Phoenix, its showing 12/09 arriving at dealer.

Question regarding the tax credit.
I think the general rule now is if we made a deposit of 5% and taking delivery on 2022, we will still be qualify. Correct?

Thank you! I never ordered this car personally. I found a dealer who had "one coming in", so I am not sure if I can log into TYD account (I don't have one now).

In terms of tax credit, yes, you are correct- if you gave 5% deposit prior to 8/16/22, you should be able to claim $7500 tax credit. Your accountant does that at tax time.

I'm on it. 4S. Arrives on Thanksgiving (11/24) in San Diego. Does anyone know if cars are offloaded on a holiday?

Quick few questions: I logged into TYD account and added the incoming car VIN to my account. Under technical data I see this:

1. Under e-mobility tab, it lists "Electric sound". Does that mean I have the "engine sounds" included? It was not on the build sheet provided by dealer.

2. Under interior, it lists: "interiour". What is that?

3. Under e-mobility, it lists "charging cover". What is that?

Also, all 2023 CT models come with dimming roof glass, correct?

I have a car on the ship as well. Currently set to arrive in Panama tomorrow late afternoon, then off to San Diego. I'm showing arrival in SD on the 28th, but once the ship leaves Panama I'll be able to get a more accurate arrival date. You can track the ship itself using the below link. It uses AIS tracking (has to be within transponder range, which it is not in the middle of the ocean), but you can pay for satellite if you are so inclined, right now it is mid-sea, but when it gets closer to Panama it will update.

Thanks. I guess the big question is if the ship does make it on 11/28, how long will it take for customs, transport and dealer prep. I really need to take delivery this year for tax reasons...

In my experience 5-7 days from ship to dealership, if you push them they can PDI it within a day. I always enjoy being there when the truck arrives at the dealer, just to see it all new and wrapped up. Then dealership can tell you when they expect the truck to be delivered. This is all in typical fashion, cars can get stuck at the docs in SD for one reason or another, but that seems to have eased up (waiting for parts, damage etc.).
