UK order status and delays?

I got a "Thank You For Your Order" email out of the blue this morning.

"Your Porsche Centre has processed your order and will keep you up to date on its progress."

Does that mean there's any sort of movement at all or have they just clicked a button, pretty much a year to the day, since the deposit was passed over to them? ?

You have an allocation! Your SA will be able to give you estimated dates

Well that's brightened up my morning at least! Thanks.

The SA has been good at getting in contact over the last wee while so hopefully he drops me a line before too long.

Check also My Porsche website and App - you should start to see something happen there too before too long.

Yeah, at least moved to stage one on the app now and listed as 'Processing'

Mine went to Stage 2 this morning.

You'll need to review and finalise your build (Porsche Code) within the next 5 days or so before your order is locked. Make sure your SA has your latest code. After that then a few more days and you should move to stage 2.

I never got an email from Porsche at any stage of the process, the only contact has been the dealer and the My Porsche app once I put in the order number..
It does seem the dealer thought I had had at least one email from Porsche, re PEC Silverstone, but I didn’t.

It's a worry that with such a precisely engineered car (and heritage) that communication to the customer is 99.9% of the time problematic at best.

Dare I ask, you have checked your Spam / Junk folder?

Update from SA. My car is on a boat heading to Sheerness and should arrive over the weekend. After checks it should be with the dealer w/c 5th December (estimate). Here’s to hoping!

Excellent news, I am hoping mine is also on its way to Sheerness, completed CP8.0 on 18th November due in Reading on 9th December hopefully.

Yes it's Simon, he's been great, given the lack of information given to him by Porsche.

OMG now being told my car will be in the dealer on Monday for delivery next week bringing it back in line with the 30/11 delivery estimate which went back to 31/01 recently. Not there yet but beginning to get excited now ?

Yes I found him great too. It helped that he got me an allocation within 3 weeks of ordering this June ?
