Hello all,

I have been lucky enough to get an allocation for a GTS ST with dealer arrival date of 3/23. Lock date is 1/5/23

I have put together a build after a lot of time on the configurator, and have pushed the limit of what resources I want to commit to this vehicle. I am happy to mix and match options if I am missing anything glaring. I have already raised the price of the build twice in my late night configurator sessions! I may need an intervention, lol.

I tried my best to combine some sport, luxury and some cool aesthetic details and would appreciate any and all opinions good and bad along with any recommendations.

Thanks and here is the build code:

EDIT: here is the build edited to include some recomendations. This is theoretically the final iteration, but who knows, 36 more days until freeze.

Nothing over the top here. You should share how you plan to use the vehicle so others can weigh in with some context.

RAHRCR,

I intend to use it as my daily driver, no track use I suspect. I will try to experiment with some shorter road trips, as I have not ventured to public charging yet. My wife daily drives an e-tron SUV and we have never ventured to charge it anywhere other than at home and have used my current Panamera Sport Turismo for longer trips. I am replacing my Panamera with the Taycan.

I suppose I am having some doubts about the E-mobility options. I l already have a Chargepoint charger on a 60 amp circuit at home. I have not put in any of the E mobility options at this time.

Thanks for the response.

I am replacing my Pan ST with a Taycan as well. CT 4S in my case as I live in the northeast. I expect that you will get a fair amount of input from others but based on what you are doing and where you live, its a pretty solid build in my view.

super close to my spec!! Same exterior color and interior! I’m partial but I love it. I went carbon fiber on the outside and added a few other packages. Love it. I’m picking mine up next week, good luck finalizing. I also spent an egregious amount of time on the configurator.

Thanks! congrats on yours, can't wait to see pics when you get it. I am especially interested in seeing the Glacier blue accents on Neptune blue, debated this a lot.

good build - recommend the 400V/150 kW option so you're not limited to 50 kW if/when you end up using a Tesla Supercharger…

good build otherwise.

Please don’t take this the wrong way, but why do you want a GTS rather than a 4S or a Turbo?

The reason I’m asking that is that you’re basically ignoring all of the options that are associated with a GTS e.g. Black RS Spyder wheels, blackened lights, Racetex interior, less sporty seats etc ?

Aren’t you likely to be much better off with a fully-specked 4S or a lightly-specced Turbo?

Build looks good, but RS Spyder wheels would make it look sooooo much better, imo.
Thanks, and in many ways I agree with you, but I enjoy washing and detailing my car and the thought of cleaning the Spyder wheels gave me pause. Plus, 5 spoke wheels have always resonated with me from the cars that I admired in my youth.

Yes, I have been thinking about this as well. I don't intend to road trip in the car so much, but just in case, might have to add that just to be sure.

I get what you are saying, and if I could get the Sport Turismo in the other trims I would consider it. In the US, Sport Turismo is only available as a GTS.

I definately like the blackened headlights and taillights and have them specced as such. I have the 18 way sport seats in my Panamera Sport Turismo and have decided that I prefer the comfort and massage function for my use. Granted the Spyder wheels are a signature GTS hallmark, I am going for the GTS for the value of the bundled options that I would otherwise pick anyway and the Sport Turismo body style.

I would have gone with a cross turismo 4S if the GTS allocation did not luckily fall into my lap. But I don't especially like the plastic wheel flares if I can avoid them. I had already planned a 4S or 4 Cross Turismo build with the intention of painting the wheel arch cladding, but this opportunity came my way. Plus other than the `18 way seats, I was going to spec all the other standard features in the GTS, and the build cost was not far off from the GTS build. The 5 spoke wheels and PSCB are reflective of my OCD for clean wheels along with ease of cleaning which I enjoy doing myself. Although the GTS is also known for the Racetex, I much prefer leather regardless in all circumstances.

a lot of EV owners don't think they will want to "drive long distance" but after you become accustomed to EV drive trains turns out you're going to want to drive it - having the maximum number of options for charging turns out to calm one's range anxiety knowing you have a lot of options for fast charging - also it's a really really cheap option by Porsche standards and will charge 3x faster with it vs. with out it if you encounter a 400V fast charger.

I do agree, and have decided to make that change. With all the options Porsche gives you, it can get a little overwhelming to pick and choose between the fun stuff and practical stuff. The charging option though seems like a very reasonable, practical and relatively inexpensive option.
