Dealer update inc. screen shot...snip below

MyPorsche is still showing as stage 3 of 5 (scheduled for production) which I understand is normal as there is around a 10 day lag on any 'real-time' updates.

How could/would I track it?

Hoping mines on the same boat ….but my dealer doesn’t give a dam?

When my dealer told me it was on a boat (and the name of the boat) I checked vesselfinder and that boat had already arrived and subsequently left Sheerness a couple of days earlier. Some days later they updated me that the car was at Sheerness (after it had been there for a week). So there might be quite a lag on their updates, and maybe you were on an earlier boat.

Good advice. Thanks.

Was this gleaned from the 'actual date' (entry and exit Port of Sheerness) on the order system snapshot they gave you?

The last dates I had there from previous update (the expected dates) were 9 Dec and 16 Dec - so yeah they allow a week in port

Gleaned from vesselfinder by searching the name of the boat they told me and checking the arrive/depart times at Sheerness. The dealer's info I assume comes from the order system but I've never seen a screenshot of that as others on the forum have.

Hoping to get mine within a week or so. Good luck!

Lovely car @Abuson95 !!

Noticed the Gtechniq flyer hanging off the mirror, did East London arrange that before delivery for you?

Who was your SA? Mine is Gerry.

My dealer is also East London and I just today turned down the Gtechniq option @ £899 (ceramic coating) or BodyCare @ £549 (wax based coating).

I never had paint protection before and wasn't sure if it's worth having. Presumably it's cheaper to get elsewhere anyway I thought.

Yeah I've had the various offers through from the dealer for paint protection, but I'm leaning towards organising it myself - the question is who (and where!)

I paid that for the GTechniq option from my dealer. It delayed collection 48 hrs so they could get it done and cured.
I wish I hadn't, because not long afterwards I changed my mind about PPF (I'd originally intended getting it- a first for me- but when the dealer said they didn't offer it, I couldn't bring myself to hand over my new car to an unknown 3rd party. Then my first stone chip plus finding myself tucking in to overgrown hedgerow for oncoming vehicles made me decide I needed to have it done and the installers only charged around £300 for ceramic coat on top of the PPF price).

Good point- I think the prep for PPF involves stripping back to the bare paintwork (removing dirt, waxes, ceramic, lion urine or whatever fad of the detailing community, plus anything that might have been applied at the factory for temporary transit/storage protection).
I can confirm though that after 3+ months the PPF fit looks fine to me.
