2021 Cross Turismo 4S Taycan - new purchase and 700 mile drive home

Hey guys. Just picked up my 2021 Taycan Cross Tursimo 4S.

I test drove a local CT for the first time a week ago and fell in love. Initially went to go sit in one hoping I'd hate it and could write it off the list, but plans quickly changed. I really wanted to do European Delivery, but the year+ wait and now the threads of part shortages make me very happy I found an awesome spec car.

I was returning to Nashville after a trip to California with a connection in Dallas. While on the trip I found this CT 4S in Dallas that was VERY high option list. Ended up buying it and doing all paperwork while away. Hopped off the plane during my connection, caught and Uber and then I was off in my new car. Drove straight home that night at close to 700 miles and 4 charges.

I'm absolutely in love it and very very happy I went with the 4S over the 4 (drove both). I am absolutely blown away with the Burmester sound system, how well the car drives in general, and how nice the ergonomics & features are. Ironically though, the "foot garage" might be one of my favorite things considering I'm 6'3".

Thanks guys. Yes I couldn't agree more with the comments. The spec list is crazy, but I'm certainly enjoying it. I wouldn't of spec'd it like this for a new order myself, but the 1.5yrs of depreciation made it seem reasonable, at least compared to what else was available now (or in the near future). I look forward to learning all about the car and any good tips as time goes on.

Amazing spec - you were so right to take the plunge. I saw a frozen blue in the dealer this week and was really surprised how good it looked in the metal.

I made the same drive from Dallas to Nashville earlier this year!
Was that purchase from Porsche Plano?

I had a less-than-stellar experience at the Little Rock charger, but mostly went ok.

Well done Derek! Yea it was. Pretty easy drive all in all. First time i have made the drive myself!

Well, I've got a dual plug Grizzl-e charger set to be delivered on Saturday and electrician coming out Monday to finish install. I went with a dual plug just for future options or if a friend is over. Figured 1 install price but more flexibility. Hopefully we can get a 40amp breaker installed to have 32amp charging. But I may be limited to 30amp for 24amp charging due to my panel.

Also I dropped the car off yesterday for paint correction, ceramic coating (inside as well), and expel clear PPF on the front clip. Ended up having 2 small rock chips on the front bumper and had to get a touch up pen from Porsche. For whatever reason in their parts system, they do not show a paint pen for K5J Frozen Blue when looking at my VIN or Taycan. However, I found the part for a 911 and ordered that. Weird situation but glad it was available with overnight shipping.

Based on the suggestions here, I've ordered a Blackvue DR900X 2 camera set up and I ordered the OBD2 Plug for my Valentine One radar. So hopefully in a week or two both of those will be installed as well!
