Protecting the front plastic spoiler with PPF?

Has anyone done this? Why installer says the film with not stick due to the grained finish so can't be done.

The portion of it that is not rough plastic can be protected by PPF. It’s a small portion at the base of the spoiler that runs the width of the car. Mine is gloss black and has PPF on it.

PPF products will not stick to the rough plastic surface. My Taycan has full body PPF and when the lower front bumper lip gets pitted I'll replace it.

I wouldn't bother. It's designed to be replaced and it's fairly inexpensive from Suncoast.

My PPF installer covered the smooth part of the spoiler as part of the full front ppf package.

Surprisingly reasonablly priced for a Porsche part. I have'nt got my Taycan yet so which part exactly is smooth. I'll make sure I get my installer to cover it.

As others have said, PPF is for the painted surfaces including the small inlays to spoiler and skirts which should be included when the installer does the main panels (so skirt inlays done if doors done, etc).

This is the GTS I test drove MY2023 and there is no smooth shiny black portion as you can see. There is in the side skirts so have asked this to be included.

I hadn't realised how many minor variations Porsche have created for cosmetic trim parts of which even owners might not be aware.

I've had my front lip spoiler replaced after it was hit by a flying caulk tube at 70mph. It cost $700 installed at the dealer.
This is for a 2021 Taycan RWD.
