Taycan app not planning roadtrip journeys that are possible

Any thoughts on the following? My Taycan CT Turbo S arrived in March ‘22 and I’ve clocked over 18,000 miles and during that time experienced and solved a number of problems.

This one is proving tricky to work out and my Porsche dealer has not yet come back with an answer since August 28th.

I’m leading a road trip to Bergen in Norway next year. The Porsche app and the car think it isn’t possible to get enough charge.

If I look at an Ionity coverage map I can see that it’s quite straightforward. So, if I build the route in stages (on the app and the car) using the addresses of Ionity sites it becomes possible.

And of course there are Porsche charging sites and other Porsche charging partners enroute as well.

Why doesn’t the app handle the journey and what other ‘mistakes’ is it making in simpler journeys that I haven’t noticed yet.

I have just tried in the app and if I navigate from Belgium to Bergen I get a route.

I have had the same problem a time ago. It wouldn’t show a route to any destination further than the range I had in the car at the time (it was about 200 km). if the destination was within 200 km it would show the trip but somehow it wasn’t able to make a trip with charging stops. Wayne you can try if you can plan a longer trip to another destination?

It solved itself after some time.

Off topic… how long is that ferry (I assume) from Denmark to Norway?
