Oops! Hit enter way too fast. I have been debating between a BlackVue 900X and waiting for a new dashcam that utilizes Sony’s new STARVIS-2 sensor. Looks like VIOFO has come through and started shipping a 1/2/3 CH option.

I’m taking delivery of my GTS ST next week and I’ll be installing this new VIOFO 3CH. Hopefully the hype lives up.

Anyone here considering this or the 900X at the moment? What drove you to either ?

I'm also seriously considering the viofo a139 pro dual dashcam.

Did you install it yet? Any pics of location?

Appreciated

I am considering the A139 Pro with the new Sony Starvis 2 IMX678 sensor. I may just go for the 1 channel front camera and add a separate 2k rear camera

Has anyone installed one yet?

Don't think so or nobody is sharing pics. I'm really curious on how they solved the issue with the camera lens being on the right side. It appears to me that if you install the camera on the right side it will film too off center?

Installing it on the left side might make the view more centered but that will raise 4 new issues maybe. 1) you will see the camera from the driver seat (except uk) 2) the wiring will have to cross the center mirror thing if you want to tap energy from the passenger footwell 3) the camera might have to sit lower so out of the black dotted region (GPS won't probably not work) and 4) since the camera slides out to the right you'll have to keep a gap between the device and the center mirror thing.

A pic would answer most of these questions ?

You should be able to power from the fusebox on the drivers side (left).
Camera slides out? It looks like it is fixed and stuck to the screen?
I don't think having on your passenger side would be an issue regarding being off centre
I'm in the UK so less of an issue for me other than their UK store does not yet stock the A139Pro so would need to order from China.

The camera slides into a base and the base is what is stuck to the windscreen. If you push it to the right a couple of millimeters it will release the camera and the base will remain on the windscreen. So if you're planning installing it on the left side of the mirror, you'll need to make sure there's a wide enough gap so that you can remove the cam if needed

My A139 Pro front and rear camera is arriving today.... being rhd the lens is on the correct side. I'll try and get it installed in the next few days but it is seriously cold here atm so not ideal weather to spend a couple of hours outside.

You have to. Thousands of ppl are waiting for your installation pictures and review ?

By the way, does the cpl filter come included with the camera or has to be bought extra?

Awesome. Dealer should have the A139 Pro in stock beginning next month.
I wonder how flexible the cable to the rear camera is. I'm imagining a certain installation but the rear cable needs to be flexible close to the front camera body. Would need to bend it 90 degrees. Then I could use it with the HK4 kit instead of the HK3-C kit

I ordered the HK 3 kit as I wanted a straight connector. I ordered mine from China 6 days ago as the UK distributor prices are significantly higher. Mine is due to be delivered at lunchtime... used standard delivery so pleased with speed of delivery....will unpack later today.

I was thinking about getting a viofo a139 pro dual dashcam but then I got a quote from dealer on how much it would cost to install (roughly 10 times as much as the camera) and that put me off.
