I didn't spec comfort access (for security reasons) when I ordered my car, it's not on the order note or bill, also not mentioned in the car details on my porsche. It's not part of any pack we have in this country.
However I can open the trunk by kicking the car in the nuts, the door handles extend when I gently caress them (without using the fob, just leaving it in my pocket). That all sounds like it should only be possible with comfort access, right? I can also configure the handles to extend when I come near (I hated this on my tesla).
The 3 month FOD comfort access trial is also not active.
Anyone else had this happen? I'm not complaining, just think it's weird.

Same here. I wasn't bothered about it at all when speccing but I actually really like it. I hope they don't take it away.

Same for me. I have posted about I previously. Just seems to work. If you spec it then I think you might also get a second button in the boot which closes the boot and locks the doors (rather than just closing the boot). I have no idea if it will stop working at some point though

It's the only FOD offered to me. So the gizmos required are all inside the car already. Maybe they forgot to deactivate them.

When I think of comfort access, I think of the steering wheel moving out of the way to make it easier to exit the vehicle. It moves back when the car is turned back on.

It's apparently called "Porsche Entry" in the configurator:

Think it's standard in the US

Definitely not the case. I just took a look at the U.S. configurator. There is a note that says that the steering column will be manually adjustable for the 4S CT. Possibly standard on some models but definitely not on all.

It’s all in the settings
you have them on or off
also the boot release with your foot
you can have on or off

I actually like the handles opening up as you get close to the car

On the Tesla you can turn auto-present off too. I have mine off, my wife keeps hers on.

Hello Cronek,
Indeed, I didn't order Comfort access, and same on mine a CT4 delivered less than a month ago.
I was tired of the smart opening when I was close to the car, and disabled it.

I think slight confusion in terminology. In UK, there is option called comfort access, which is basically keyless entry. Nothing to do with steering column/seat moving for you. I think you guys get keyless entry (what we call comfort access) as standard in US?

Pretty sure comfort access is standard on all Taycans in the US. And that every 23' Taycan in the world is sold with a manual steering wheel, since the power steering wheel can't be spec-ed due to parts/chip shortages.
