If the MY change is a thing that triggers a fresh finance calculation then at this rate I will have changed twice by the time I take delivery! I've already changed once!

Looks like you will have changed at least once in that time frame also!

I am in similar position, ordered 4S in Dec 22 via Octopus EVs who quoted 2 years until delivery (but I'm hoping this will come down!)

They have said that the financials will only change if Porsche pricing changes and then only by the amount Porsche increase, it will not impact lease figures or APRs.

Will be interesting to see when the face lift model hits and when that will impact 'in-flight' orders!?

Unfortunately from my experience, Porsche do not honour prices and any cost increases due to new model year gets passed through. I placed my order in July 21 (MY21) with Zenith, allocation confirmed in November 22 (MY23). Received an email in early Jan telling me of the price increase, although did give me the option to cancel the order.

You will likely be told once your allocation and build date are confirmed.

Yeah, I don't mind the actual price increases being passed through. It will make a significant difference however if the interest rates and residual values are also changed from what they were back in April 2022!

From what I can make out, it will only be the Porsche increase cost passed on so good in that respect. Equally it looks like (from my scheme anyway) I could increase the term to lessen any price increase and de option a tad before it goes into build. The one thing that’s not possible on my scheme is to change the model at this point Ie choose a 4 opposed to a 4S. If I do that, it’s back of the queue…

Sorry to hear that.

I asked my Salary Sacrifice guy (Love Electric, who use Lex) what happens with increasing interest rates etc..

I asked this specific question (on the 30th November):

Can Lex offer some kind of re-assurance that the interest rate and residual value will be matched back on the condition that I do not change the spec of the car (other than a non-cost option colour change - I want to switch from Grey to Green). If the price of the car changes via Porsche, or a model year change ticks around again then this will not affect the ability to use the agreed interest rate and relative residual value.

I was given this response.

I do hope this was correct, but given what you're saying it may not be!
Hi. I‘m with Lex, and currently in the queue for CT4S. I asked exactly the same question and got the same answer. ie They honour their prices and just pass over any porsche increase costs. That said, my contact did say that should the model year change by the time my allocation becomes available then that would be a re-quote. I placed my order in Dec and following this news I looked to cancel and change spec to 4 (giving me a better cash buffer for any increase), but Lex had increased there costs quite dramatically over the new year so at this time the 4 was barely cheaper than the 4S So I just stuck with it. I know a couple of people whom ordered the GT etron at the same time as me and get them next month. Whilst envious in the short term I know the Taycan (for me anyway) will make me smile more. I just fear in 9 months time there is still a chance a price increase or delay could mean I still don’t get one…
I had a couple of options.

Not change my spec but the price still went up.

Change my spec (from Volcano grey to Crayon) and the price goes up.

I had a MY change on the car from 22/23, I argued that I accepted the price would increase for that MY change but surely they can't recalculate based on today's interest rates. No one was budging for me though, the MY change triggered a new calculation so I was stuffed.
At one point Synergy got excited thinking I hadn't had a MY change and therefore could sort this for me but obviously that wasn't the case.

I do hope you get them without any increases.

To top it off, the EQC I went with, that was in stock, with a spec listed came without some of the specced items. I wasn't told & therefore given the option to reject, the car was just delivered. Obviously I've raised this with the leasing company initially.

My ICE RRS that I was selling once I got a new car remains sat on my drive. It needs a new back up battery in the telematics unit, not a big deal, not a major cost but 4-7 weeks lead-time on the battery. I can't sell it until I get it fixed.

I think I might get a horse and cart in future :D

I was just looking at the data we've got so far (20 orders tracked!) and it looks like there were a few of us who expected delivery dates which were upcoming or recently passed.

I've added a little list of 'orders due' to the sheet here (excerpt below)

hopefully that means those folks are having too much fun driving their cars now but it would be great if we could get the tracker updated. I know a few people have cancelled etc and I'll clean up best I can based on posts from people here.

@Hussaa I think you received yours in March? @AdamT It looks like your's was due in June?

@gurjaujla, @DJ-UK, @Belly74 - any updates from you would be appreciated!

if people want to update entries, just fill in the form with your forum username and just the updated parts... and it should all work!

No update as yet. My SE has said by mid May, and the app tells me I am at stage 5.

Hi

i was told last week that my car had arrived in the UK but has been sitting at port waiting for delivery to the dealer in Wolverhampton. The expected date was revised from 1 April to 28 April and now we are in May. Dealer promises an update this week and states delivery/collection will be 3 days after arrival at the dealer. So unfortunately not driving the car yet.

I too am waiting for an update from the leasing company (Activa)… and their communication is pretty poor in relation to progress updates.

I am planning to go to Bristol over the weekend to have a chat with the dealer and find out the “true status of my order”.

Hopefully, the dealer would be willing to discuss… ?

@Jin wonder if it would be advantageous to add a couple of columns to enter delay dats, how many delay notifications and if order was cancelled- would give a fuller picture and maybe additional ref for those to put to dealers for those getting the run around?

I've just updated the tracker as I collected mine from Bristol on Thursday.

I feel sorry for all you that have had delay after delay, I've been very lucky to jump the queue a bit due to order cancelations with my sales rep.

After 150 miles of driving all I can see is that it's worth the wait...and fingers crossed you get yours and avoid any price increases.

Who did you liaise with at Porsche Bristol for your lease car? Dominic?

I was dealing with Marcus. But luckily had Select Car Leasing also trying to get updates along the way, as like everyone seems to experience, communicating isn’t Porsche’s strength.
