You can also reconsider and change your build for an extra three weeks !
And give Porsche another excuse to delay production? My build froze and thawed 3 times before it stuck. I changed nothing so that I don't get an extra delay, or some new restriction of what can be ordered or not. When the car finally arrived last month, it was not missing any parts/options (yea, it had Bose and the electric steering column adjustment, which I like even more than I thought I would as it turns out I prefer to drive with the wheel low, but that would make entry and exit harder without the wheel moving out of the way). I could be wrong of course, I work in cyber security (amongst other things) and therefore am a little more paranoid than most.

Did you wheels arrive?
Yes they did. Wife is not happy as they're using up space in the storage locker.

Obviously taste is very subjective but they were family approved. Happy family, happy life.

I know the feeling. My additional Taycan wheels+tires and a separate set of tires arrived at home when I was away picking up my Taycan from the dealer (9 day drive home). The wheels were on a palette and the delivery forklift just dropped it off at the entrance of the garage. Between all the wheels and tires it blocked my wife from parking in the garage until I got back and sorted it all out.

Which wheels are those, what size?

Obviously, I was being sarcastic ?

I'm really pissed/worried tonight.

This week I'm away from home due to an event where I'm working at and today, after the closure, as I walk to my current car (MB), parked at the venue's parking place (backed up like I always do), I notice the front left bumper corner is all scratched up. Some idi... I mean person must have parked next to me and either backed into me while parking or bumped into me while leaving.

It's OK. Its nothing a polish wouldn't remove but then my imagination started to work. What if I already had the Taycan. I would probably have a stroke right there. The person fled the scene. No note, nothing. Like man... What a shitty thing to do.
It also reinforced my decision to install a dashcam in the upcoming car. I never did it before because 'technically' it isn't legal in this country but had I got their license plate, I would creatively nail them with my insurance with or without providing footage.

Time for my monthly update I guess.

My SA confirms the impending price increase (at this time, Porsche Iberia (Portugal and Spain) hasn't updated the official prices yet) will be for the MY24 and shouldn't affect my order.

Regarding my order, it was anticipated by one week meaning my order locked (for the second time) on march 24th instead of yesterday (Yay!).

Unfortunately, either Porsche figured out a way of building the car in a single day or my tracking sheet will suffer further changes/delays ?

I guess I could have gotten worse news.

Aaaaanndd....

The car is produced! ?:D:):D

It's currently with the logistics company to be sent to my dealership. ETA is still May 5th (plus 4 days to handle PDI, registration and paperwork). Got my VIN too

Unfortunately, still can't add it to myporsche app. Requires proof of ownership besides the VIN... MEH

It's happening! Oh my God!

I need to buy something to cool off o_O

That proof of ownership prompt was bogus. Just go back and click in circles and mess around with it and it disappears. Kind of like blowing on a Nintendo cartridge or jiggling a toilet.

Thx I'll try.

My SA told me I should receive a link shortly though. Let's see...

Got it! Thank you.

I had to add it through the Spanish site. The Portuguese one doesn't let me add through VIN and the app was being stubborn.

It appears with a green dot and sometimes goes to snooze. It's alive!

PS: what are the odds I did something I wasn't supposed to and won't be able to link the car on delivery day? ?

The odds are exactly 1 in 911

You car should be linked already, no? I added mine right after I got the VIN. I setup the digital services a month in advance. I linked it all up in the car when I arrived at the dealer, in the showroom while waiting for my SA.

Well it's linked on my side now but

a) it's saying restricted (no remote authorization) which I assume is normal until I enter my porsche id in the car at delivery day

b) I wasn't supposed to be able to add it. I used a dirty trick by adding it as if I was in my neighbour country (Spain let's you add through vin, Portugal through dealership only) and the SA did say "you should receive an email and link in a few days".... Ups ?

BTW, can I stop playing with this now?

It was the same for me until I physically got into the car and paired it up with my app. Technically that happened before delivery, as I found the car on the showroom floor and set it up before actually officially taking delivery of the car (see first part of my post here).

I was however able to sign up for digital services, and enable automatic OTA updates (though I was unable to disable them afterwards).

Yea, I never got that email, but it could be because I already added my car as soon as I sniffed out my VIN. Before I got to the car, it was telling me I must enter a code in the car, but IIRC when I was in the car, I did it by scanning a QR code instead, either way, it just worked.

Ha ha, I wish I could have had one of those. I looked, but couldn't find any CT models back then. With all the wait durations nowadays, I'm surprised Porsche is not making 1:18 models available to customers on the waitlist, matching customer configuration (colors, wheels, body style), something like this:
Porsche Taycan Dealerships and initial contacts 1682402185610

but matching your colors, options. Extra charge for PTS of course ;)

Then again, I guess that would be yet another supply-chain to manage, and they have trouble managing what they got already (hence streamlining of options for MY24). Too bad the above one was not available 2 years ago, I might have picked it up, even though it's not exactly matching my options (this one seems to be an ice grey 4S, with red PCCB brakes, black interior, solid roof).
