Hey everyone,

New to the group thought I would come say hello. Ex 992 and 981 Spyder driver. Sold my Spyder last week and now in the market for a Taycan with the lower prices on the turbo and turbo s.

Is there anything I should look our for or be aware of ?
Any must have options?

Also if anyone has a green turbo or s they want rid of dm me.

I've just bought a Turbo S and there were certain options i was after but that will differ from person to person.

I would say the adaptive cruise is excellent but innodrive is a bit gimmicky.

The Burmeister is excellent in my opinion.

Surround view was a must for me. It's a big car and I use the forward end rear camera focus constantly when parking to place the car accurately on my drive or in spaces.

Obviously mileage, condition, etc all need to be considered as well at tyres which are circa £400 a pop. I went with a Porsche approved car for the 2 year hear warranty and peace of mind.

FWIW, when I did my search I found that low mileage used Taycans listed by non-Porsche dealerships were more likely priced to sell quite aggressively. The dealerships’ lack of familiarity with features combine with the nuances of maintaining an EV in their inventory usually equaled a lower price. Now that Porsche is out with their extended warranty program, the advantages of a CPO (and associated markup) are largely offset by this relatively inexpensive alternative..

You’re aware of the differences between s and non-s turbo? Some of them:
• performance the same except for launch (has been debated, not all agree fully)
• ceramic brakes compulsory on s, may be what you want - or not
• exterior «trim» on s may or may not be what you want

Green (mamba) highly recommended, by the way!

I probably would buy the newest version possible. Consider 4S and Turbo , they are fast enough for most.

I would recommend a CPO car wand get the 1 year additional warranty. Some of these cars have serious issues. Ours had over $50,000 in warranty work before we bought it with 13k miles (2021 4S)

I'd stay away from the 2020 models in general as they seem to have had the most issues. There are however some incredible deals on 2020 Turbos (especially if you like red leather interiors).

Also consider rear wheel steering as is a big car and makes it so much easier to get and out of tight spaces

Just bought a 2nd hand taycan 4 cross from a Porsche dealership. The Porsche “engine noise” I thought wasn’t on my wish list gets turned on straight away as the cars a little clinical without it. The lack of the Burmeister sound system wouldn’t be a deal breaker for me. Also the amount of time it took for the Porsche Pro to set up all of the tech and App connectivity would make me veer away from a non dealership car.

I just wish I could find a Green Taycan turbo or S that wasn't over 90k. It's such a mixed bag with prices on auto trader. Might have a to wait a while longer

Love red interiors but can't seem to find them on the lighter cars only the dark ones.
