It's a tight clearance, but there is just enough room to disconnect it.

You need to pull the connector straight up and don't let the cable twist around so that the nut catches the plastic once you've loosened it (and I'm not trying to state the obvious, but also make sure you loosen the nut enough to actually get it off - I didn't the first time I tried).

Once disconnected, keep the connector away from anything metal and leave it disconnected for at least 5 minutes to hopefully clear the errors (assuming they are not related to an actual fault).

Otherwise, for peace of mind and less hassle get it booked into a dealer ASAP and have them investigate. If the connector isn't being cooperative perhaps this is best? More hassle, but peace of mind?
I have booked it in with the dealership next week… however, I will give it another go this weekend again. Maybe just need to use a bit more force !

I had to force/bend the plastic bit above it to get it off.
Needed quite a lot of force.

I used one hand to force the plastic and the other to remove the terminal.

This all make sense now. I found it a real PITA to remove the terminal when others didn't mention it.
It appears its easy on LHD cars and difficult on RHD.

If I was doing it again, I would look to lightly pinch/move the black trim first.

This has got me thinking...

There is no way that Porsche techs would be disconnecting the -ve terminal this way, so how do they do it for RHD cars?
There must be an easy enough way to get the obstructing plastic parts out of the way...

Anyone knows how to remove / move the plastic parts to have easier access to the terminal?

Aren't there any Porsche technical documents on RHD cars? Must be mentioned somewhere...

Anyone come up with a cunning way to get this poxy terminal off? I've managed to get the front side over, but not the back. Feels like i'd need to get a crowbar involved and i don't want to get 'agricultural' on it.

Crap design or what?
