In my case with a problem in my HV battery now, the SoH was still showing the same value as before any trouble started, about 90%??? But my actual driven range and SOC fell off a cliff face. There was no difference at all in the consumption per 100 km. My battery has two modules that needs to be replaced under warranty, so how the measurement of SoH stayed so high is a mystery to me.
Depends on how many cells are failing. If its one or two it's still a very minor percentage of your capacity that is gone.

A guess: Since the individual cells can't be disconnected (I assume?) by the BMS it must stop the discharge when the worst cells reach their lower limit - Probably leaving the rest of the pack with plenty of juice in it that it just won't allow you to use.

Kinda like when you are warned against mixing used and new single use batteries in consumer products. If you do the low charge one typically end up leaking because it's totally discharged.

Could you ask your dealer how much it would cost to replace a module out of warranty ?

I will ask them if they can give me an estimate.
I would think the majority of the costs will be labour! The garage have had the car in since Monday now. Of course no idea how much they have spent time to work on it though. The latest is that they have started to put everything back together, but it seems quite intensive. They said they have to glue it together and seal it again. Estimate was that it would be ready beginning of next week.

Hello everyone
Today, i went to my dealership for the two-year and end of warranty visit.
Under threat from the guru "@ciaranob", the workshop manager agreed to check the SoH.
Measured at 84.96 by car scanner, PIWIS confirmed 85....

I believe the PIWIS quick test is performing the same polling as your OBDII reader. The "deep test" with PIWIS attached provides the SoH measurement that matters for warranty purposes. My Taycan is in deep test at the dealership this week. The dealership quoted me about $540 to perform the test because of the labor involved with driving it from high SoC to ~4% SoC with the PIWIS collecting data the entire time. Hopefully the deep test produces a similarly low SoH as my Car Scanner reported: 75%. Then I can get Porsche to pay for the the diagnostic fee and battery repair.

I just pick up a used Taycan Turbo and I'm really impressed by the way this car drives. There are some issues like door handles not extending everytime I'm near the car and sometimes the key fob is not detected.

1. unknown
2. 90.47 (Porsche center reading was 90%)
3. 75.000 Km/46,875 Miles
4. unknown but probably a lot of fast charging due to high mileage
5. Build 11/20 initial delivery 1/21

I think the battery was charged often to 100% because it was a Porsche employee car and generally they don't care about safe charging levels.
SoH is pretty good and range at full charge on highway driving 130/140kph was around 350km with AC on.

@Genau Good luck with the battery deep test results.
If you get any more details about the actual procedures used for the deep test, please share.

Excellent share - thanks - need more cars with these mileages :) Updated charts in Post #1.

We just hit a 'milestone' of 60 cars now in our tracking of SoH and 126 readings to date! Thx to all that chose to share - some very clear results have come out so far.

Cheers, C.

@ciaranob as promised, 2 sets of data:

Set 1, taken at ~11,500mi on 9/6:
SoH: 91.06
Energy turnover total 40095, unsure how many fast DC

Set 2, taken at 12,608mi on 9/24:
SoH: 90.55
Energy turnover: 42579, most of the difference being on fast DC.

(Big trip coming up - Rennsport! - I’ll take another measurement upon my return.)

Thanks for all/what you do.

I extracted info from a demonstrator. May be interesting, as these are always 100% charged and probably hammered about.
Sport Turismo 4S

1) unknown
2) 91% SoH
3) 9,100 miles
4) unknown
5) Delivery date Sep '22

@ciaranob. A reading after two 1,200 mile road trips and some DC charging.
1) unknown
2) 92.33% SoH
3) 7,736 miles
4) 250 kWh of DC charging since last update. 1,200 kWH lifetime. (educated guess).
5) 12/22/2022

Before leaving on July 31st the SoH was 95%. Drove from Fl to NJ and the SoH had dropped to 94.49% so minimal degradation from a few DC charging sessions. By 8/29 the SoH dropped to 92.96% (the 8/29 readings were previously given to you). There was no DC charging during that month & NJ temps were probably less damaging to the battery than it's normal home in FL. Took off for the return trip on 9/16 still at 92.96% SoH. The above readings are after the return trip. Again only a small impact on SoH from DC charging. I wonder if I will see the same approx 1.5% "delayed" loss of SoH. Software needs a few level 2 charges to recalculate the SoH?

Second (possibly 3rd) charge to 100% produced interesting numbers for SoC. Display was 99.72%. SoC HR was 96.86%. The numbers from the first charge to 100% were similar. SoC Display 100%, SoC HR 96.86%, SoC True 97.75%. Porsche displaying 100% while actually leaving a buffer? Anyone figure out the difference in how SoC Display, HR and True are derived?

Here is some information from my car, 2020 Turbo.

1) unknown
2) 90.3%
3) 23 230 miles
4) no idea on where to find this information. But quite frequent charging on HPC’s when travelling.
Just got reader & car scanner. - my March 2023 Taycan Turbo CT reads:
96.65 SOH
Just one EU 3 week trip using Fast Chargers rest of time charging at home.
Just over 5K miles.
located in South East (kent) UK
Not sure if this any use.

Have to confess you have befuddled :)

In CarScanner the field that is titled simple 'Soh' is the actual Soh reading - the HR field is always on the high side and not sure what it represents but def not the value to read (after many calibration calculations). As to "Soh True"value you ref. apologies, but I have no idea what you are referring to!

All that said, I assume then that the 92.33% reading is the correct SoH?

Thx for sharing and my comments not at all critical, just trying to understand what is being reported.

Thx again for contributing - truly appreciated.

Cheers, C.
