I’m looking at a 2020 Turbo, 18k miles perfect color and options and comparing it against a 2022 4S with 9k miles but not as well optioned (but still with the basics I want) and in a color I can live with but not a first choice.
Neither car is CPO and both are in excellent condition with one owner car fax. Both are similarly priced at under 100k.
I know there are a lot of strong views against getting a 2020 first year car which I get. This Turbo was a launch vehicle and sat on a local dealer floor for a year and was sold in 2021 with only 50 miles so assume it wasn’t a demo but rather a showpiece to get customers to place orders.
Any additional risks to buying a launch vehicle that sat idle for a year? My head says go with the 22 4S because it is newer with lower miles but my heart says take the risk on the Turbo.
Thoughts?
