Morning.

Ovo charge anytime hasn’t worked for the last 2 evenings.
App seems to accept my usual schedule and tells me car will start charging after midnight and be ready for start time etc. However car doesn’t start charging and seems to be hanging at initialising charge (grey battery etc).
it wouldn’t seem to let me use ‘urgent charge’ on the ovo app or start direct charge from the Porsche app or car’s battery screen (which did seem to have direct charge already pressed/blue).

I’ve noticed Enode isn’t appearing in profile in my app or in the car, and pretty sure I haven’t deleted anything. The only profile I can see is the general one which was off.

If anyone users gets a chance, would you mind checking if there is actually an enode profile in profiles in your car, as I’m not 100% if there should be or not.

Work around has been to set general profile in the car to 95% and it has started charging. Strangely the ovo anytime app can see the car is charging and seems to be giving me the discounted rate. It doesn’t say enode in the car’s battery screen.
Cheers.

It may be due to Porsche servers/communication. I'm really struggling with Charge Anytime lately but it's because half the time it can't communicate with the car to apply the Enode profiles. It's been a while since it worked consistently - after many phone calls I managed to get through to someone at Ovo who seemed to know what they were talking about, and they blamed Porsche Connect services for being so unreliable

Had this a couple of times.

Disconnect your account from the app then immediately re-add - that normally clears the issue (doesn't explain it but clears it).

Ovo will always blame everyone else for everything in my experience.
I’ve had problems with Porsche servers a lot, but wasn’t the cause this time as I could see the car in the Porsche app.

Boom. That worked. The word enode has reappeared! Thanks.

I charged on Thursday night / Friday AM on charge anytime. I didn’t get an enode
Profile that I noticed ( and got the saving logged).

From time to time; I think that the app just uses direct charge rather than a profile. In my case; I had little time to reach my target so perhaps in that instance an enode profile isn’t required.

Not sure. The ovo app certainly instigated direct charging if you hit the ‘start urgent charge’ button, but then you lose the discounted rate.

My impression was the software behind ovo uses the timer function to trick the car into when it charged etc. Hence if you look at timers, there are quite often a load of random ones you’ve not set. At time of writing I have one set for 4.59am on Monday to 100%! It wasn’t me and ovo is set to 80% by 7 am the next day.

It’s the sort of thing you only check when you have a problem, so hard to say anything with any certainty. But I’m pretty sure I had enode showing in both the my Porsche app (charging overview tab) and also in the cars lower battery screen. Until it went wrong! After Adrian’s delete /re input fix, back to enodes everywhere.
So in my case at least, something had definitely got its knickers in a twist as it failed for 2 days on the bounce.

Maybe I should have left it be, as it was giving me discounted electric when I switched on my ‘general’ profile, of charge straight to 85%, at 9am in the morning! Cheap electric whenever you want. Maybe.
