Its slightly more than last year increase but not a turnoff if i order one this year. The killer is the style and shortened 911 delivery time. If it is today i order a Porsche. I would order a 911 Targa.

Also, the price now seems just slightly more expensive than entry level Porsche, Macan.

So I went and configured the equivalent of mine in the configurator. As @SergeyIndy pointed out, there's something weird about the Premium Package? (It's gone - for the 4CT at least.) The new car is ~10k more expensive or ~9% - oddly, even with the now-standard options, the cost of additional equipment was the same (owing, no doubt, to the disappearance of the PPackage).

But this is the biggest oddity - either the configurator is wrong, or actually the base car makes now less overboost power than before? (Left is new, right is old.)

I think that site is not settled yet. To be honest. I have never tried launch control. Even just flat out scared the crap out of me already.

From the PDF, I love how no one has even mentioned that they've seem to have significantly improved InnoDrive too.

1707267916166.png
the weird thing about this option is that in the configurator you have to choose sports chrono and the gt steering wheel to have InnoDrive, that's very odd, first gen doesn't have this limitation for sure because i currently drive a car that optioned that way..
any idea if that's a "bug"?

Does the 2025 refresh have NACS/Tesla charging ports?
Doesn't look like, but the US version was not shown yet...
Also since the car has two ports there might be a nice recall where one side will be NACS and the other CSS, i think that's the best way and maybe the car will ship like that, we will see...

This graphic should be accurate since the new variables now are PB, PB+, P2P, and LC/OB.
This is just kW but should be convertible to hp.

Yes base is making less max HP compared to launch control power for old PB+ (and CT4) down to 320kw from 350kw. The difference is all that 320 kw is now available all the time. (So non-LC power increases compared to old). Finally i think US website has a mistake where it says “overboost with launch control” - i have a strong feeling they just copied that phrase from higher models’ pages by mistake. Every indication is Base models no longer have an additional boost in power, this point was pretty clear in the technical presentation.

No overboost at all in C4. Notice in the "new" overboost power is the same as normal power. 0-60 decrease must come from something else than max power.

Btw I don't get the fuss around "oh this is a massive update, our first gen cars will tank in value". Does anyone really think that it would be better if Porsche kept dumping the dealers a stale car? We would be looking at steeper discounts on new cars on the lots, and Dealers would not be quoting reasonable trade-in values for 3-4 year old vehicles. A major upgrade like this was the only way to bump up MSRP and more importantly average transaction price of new vehicles so a healthy distance remains between a used Gen 1 and a new Gen 2 vehicle. Taycan is like an asset class still not discovered by a great majority of "investors", you need to pull "new capital" into the system to support the values. New model making headlines, major increase in range for example can pull new luxury buyers, who did not care before. This would help new inventory move quicker and release pressure on used market. There was already a healthy spread between MSRP and used values, (which now became healthier) and that spread is more than enough to cover spec differences between Gen 1 and Gen 2 creating almost 2 distinct markets. The critical issue was for new cars to hold the line as close as possible to MSRP, and this update should help in that regard.

Must be the 15kg weight savings. ?

Maybe the old one was detuned some. Like not reaching FLA until some point after full volts, so they didn’t hit that higher HP until later (leaving low end torque on the table, so to speak). ?‍♂

Wow, this thread is moving fast.
No kidding. Sometimes, I’d be like, “okay, one more page to go…” and by the time I clicked it…it was no longer the last page. ?

Comes from the increased torque in low rpms take a look new CT4 almost 100nm (449 lbft vs 368 lbft in the old one)

Faster in 0-100kmh however 1.3 second slower 0-200 compared to old CT. Higher torque, lower power. Same thing with RWD 0-100 is 0.6 sec faster but new rwd has the same 0-200kmh of 16.5 sec with outgoing PB+. Which means it's 100-200 is 0.6 slower than older model. Again higher torque lower max HP dynamic. Of course the big difference is for the old model these figures can only be achived in LC, which you don't have to bother with in the new one.

It’s not showing the 4.

@whitex yes, i did get the picture - all the power is now available all of the time (or at a button’s press). The numbers, though, if correct, seem to say the new motors have been optimized for lower rpm torque over max power. There appear to be tiers now - the base get the “base” motors, so the 4 is no longer a detuned 4s.

Part of my decision (back then) to get the 4 is that it’d have the same hardware as the 4s at a 17-20k discount. I’ve used LC exactly once, but wouldn’t mind (in time) unlocking the full power of my motors. It’s just software.. ?
