It was surprised that Nick Murray, the guy who had a 911 lemon and took on the company over it, and who is usually fair minded and informative about all things ICE-Porsche related, said he counted Kyle among his friends in his most recent video, which spends a fair amount of time throwing shade on the Taycan. Whoa! There are points to be made about Taycan short comings, and many of them have been made in this forum, but I read him essentially as saying he does not enjoy the Taycan driving experience. I can understand that, as it take very little effort in the Taycan to “Go Fast” as it is said, and he enjoys shifting gears. Well, ok, but that, together with a fall off in resale prices of some models, is hardly grounds for a jeremiad against the car en toto. I believe, world wide, Porsche has sold 150,000 of this model since introduction, according to a very recent press report in a UK publication. I think that many buyers acted knowing there would be faults to contend with and opened their wallet, nevertheless.
Here is post with link to Nick Murray's video: Nick says: Never buy a Taycan Turbo S

I much prefer Thomas from the Autogefuhl channel when it comes to reviewing Porsche vehicles. His videos are much more succinct, polished, and the guy dresses like an adult. And, yes, this is a 100% indictment of Kyle's propensity to not stop talking and the fact that that he wears nothing but hoodies.
Thanks for mentioning Thomas from Autogehfuhl. I had previously watched his Taycan videos a couple years ago when I was thinking about ordering one. His reviews are quality work. I just watched his video about the 2025 Taycan. It provides info and perspective I had not seen before.

Of course.

It may be just me, but when I prefer Thomas when it comes to reviewing Porsches. I also like Mat Watson from the CarWow channel. He has the whole snarky British humor thing going, which I enjoy. Mat also owns a new GT3 RS, so he actually has some Porsche credibility. I also like Tom Voelk from the Driven Car Youtube channel. He is not super EV knowledgeable, but his style is easy going and smooth.

I am not particularly hating on Kyle Connor, but when comparing him to these three, there is no question he has the worst delivery style, the worst presentation style, and the worst video editing. Good on Kyle for what he has achieved, but I just prefer other car reviewers.

Cheers

I agree with a lot you say here.

Kyle Has a lot of knowledge about EV’s , no doubt. The problem is the length of his videos, he repeats things over and over and drags it out. When you then skip a bit of the video you may miss some good information. He seems to be respected when he meets with designers and technical persons from manufacturers, due to his knowledge about EV’s. And Kyle’s test driving steady 70 mph is informative and valuable, but again far too long videos.

His videos should be edited to be max 20 - 25 minutes and not over an hour long.

Thomas from Autogefūhl is good and Mat from CarWow is fun to watch.
