19K glorious miles in 2 years but my rear tires seem to be close to replacement status as opposed to my front which seem fine. I currently have Pirelli Cinturato P7 20s which came with the car and my grip has been EXCELLENT in fair and rainy conditions (never go to the snow). 2 questions: 1) The forums opinion on just replacing rear tires given front wear is fine, it's a RWD, and I'm a well off 40 year old....but the kind of frugal where my shirts and socks have more holes than a Trump defense team 2) Replace at Porsche during 2 year inspection or at a local place I've used for my other cars which has historically treated me well (America's tire)

RWD - I would expect wear to be predominantly on the rear tyres only. If AWD then all 4 should wear more or less equally.

Just replace the rears - any outlet.

If Porsche is similar to my Audi experience, they will often price match your independent so worth checking.

My 2020 4S with all season Goodyear Touring tires I've only been getting 12K miles out of the front tires. The rears lasted 23K miles. I stayed with the same tire so had no issues just changing a pair at a time. The car was aligned after each tire replacement at an independent shop for less than $200. I excessively used Range mode for the first 30K miles which lowered the suspension. I'm now experimenting using Normal mode all the time. My tires came from a local Discount Tire shop which include balancing with the purchase.

Have you also checked wear on the inner shoulder of the rears?

Its a known issue for tyres that otherwise look ok.

There are other threads on this.
Good tip on checking the inner shoulder of the rears. I checked this am and it's similar wear/measurement.

Didn't even occur to me that range mode would wear out tires faster. Great insight. I used range mode a lot my first 15K but stopped in the past few months when I realized it's not necessary for my driving routine/miles.

I was going to buy a set of used 21" Taycan Exclusive Design Wheels from Rocklin Porsche and the prices they quoted me for tires (21" NFO, Pirelli summer only, front and rear) were actually slightly cheaper than from America's Tires. So I would agree with @ShiftyWolf and have the dealer give you a quote if the car will be there for service anyway....

May i ask if you have the steel suspension

May i ask if you have the air suspension or standard steel suspension on your rwd? I am wondering if this inner tire wear-out issue has anything to do with lower air suspension setting which may be creating a negative chamber (lower suspension height gets triggered in range mode).

Does anyone know what tires will be on the 2025 Taycan? Those are supposed to be designed for EVs and improved for better mileage. Personally, I'd use this an excuse to buy a set of those (if possible).

Just noting that it's not the tread wear on the inside of the tyre.
It's the actual inner tyre wall that often fails.

These were my Michelin PS4 (RWD) after 18k. Tread was fine across the tyre, but the inner sidewall was completely shot.

Common issue on here.

I replaced rears only on my RWD to start, and now all four again with Michelins. Air suspension, 21s.
The rears wear fast, but I will say all four are wearing very very evenly at least.
I have mine done at America's Tire that has a touchless rim machine which sold me on having them done there with the Mission Es. They've been great about taking great care with the wheels and the car itself.
Also- I've noticed all the factory tires on Tire Rack have increased in price in the last couple years.
And finally- Hankooks are a factory fitment NF0 21" tire on the 2025.
