Hey All, I finally installed my Forgeline wheels. I am not sure if I'm satisfied with the center color I chose. I am thinking of having the centers redone in satin black and keeping the outer barrels in gloss black pearl. Thoughts/Opinions?

They don’t suit the car at all IMO. I would be going for black centres

*Biased opinion incoming given I really like my GTS RS Spyder wheels.*

I like the idea of going for black as a way to create more contrast to the background of white caliper and silver brake rotor. It will give more visual interest to that area. Going with the black will also play off of the rest of the accents on the car (side skirts, charge port cover opener blade, vents, etc). So again, IMO, that would look more balanced and at the same time more visually appealing with the contrast added in the wheel area
That said, there is the chance it starts to look too busy and becomes a distraction.
Maybe someone with Photoshop skills could jump in and make it a digital reality to validate your own feelings about it.

I think your wheels need some contrast vs the rest of the spec but I would only go with black as a last resort.

While I agree that a dark color would be nice, what about something other than black since you are going to be painting the rims anyway? I mean, a dark blue, a dark green, or even a dark purple could add just a nice "offset" to the silver/black trim that you have everywhere else. And I do mean dark enough that you have to really look to realize, but that difference could be amazing.

That is an interesting thought. I'm not sure that would fit me..... Though, I can see how the car could benefit from something like that. Spoke to Forgeline this afternoon. Easy fix for less than 1k to strip and powder. It's a shame though....I really love the wheel itself. Pictures don't do the finish justice. They are "transparent smoke" and were brushed before powder. Really cool finish..... My only other thought would be to wrap the car, but then I am assuming I would forfeit the full PPF I had applied after delivery.
