Hey everyone - New to the forum and trying to buy my first Porsche (coming from M3s). Really in love with the CT and excited about hopefully having a “wagon” soon!

Wanted to get your thoughts on this potential deal on a new leftover 2024 CT 4S and things that I could try to improve.

MSRP: $146K
Selling Price: $96.5K
Adj Cap Cost (after taxes and fees): $102K

DAS: $10K
Monthly for 39mo (7.5K miles): $1,200

mf: 0.00395
Residual Value: 53%

I think if I could get rid of the DAS and keep the monthly then I’d be happy with the deal but not sure if that’s realistic?

That looks like a pretty sweet deal!
The MF is high (to me, but that may be competitive). It is the equivalent of 9.5% interest rate.
Having said that, the selling price is pretty impressive.

If it meets your pecs, I'd say go for it! :)

Yeah the mf is a bit on the higher side. Wondering if I can remove the DAS by lowering the mf a bit and upping the RV?

The spec is almost spot on. Just missing the off road package that doesn’t look easy to add after the fact (only the cosmetic stuff I mean).

If untitled and new , just buy it
Yeah the incentives aren’t that great when buying it, so wondering how much depreciation I would get hit in the next 2-3yrs. I’ll do a bit more math to see which deal would get me ahead but the depreciation unknown is tricky.

If price is same , no brainer (buy it) and commit to keeping it for minimum 3-4 years , explore a credit union rate or collateral loan against assets at 6% or so, or if your pimphand is strong just pay cash and negotiate an even better deal

I think for a purchase the price will be about $120K out the door as there’s an additional $22.5K in lease incentives from Porsche I believe.

1. Please do not buy the car. That would be foolish.
2. get the down payment as low as possible while keeping all other numbers the same. They are desperate to get rid of the inventory. Doesn’t hurt to negotiate and tell them you like the numbers but they Need to sweeten the deal.

Yeah I think that’s where I am too. The depreciation unknown and also any potential hit from an accident would make ownership not ideal since it’s a six figure car.

A few thoughts (with the caveat of 'take them for what they are worth' which is likely not much!
1. there is constant chatter on here about 'Porsche needs to dump cars' and 'excessive industry on lots' etc. What I can tell you is that there are two dealers in my area and one of them has ZERO new Taycans and the other has two.
2. when I look at those two dealers CPO inventory, it is equally weak (one has two and one has zero....and the prices are no bargains.
3. my guess is that a 3 year old Taycan will be worth 50% of new MSRP (less on a trade potentially). If that is the case, if you BUY, it will have cost you approx $24,000 to own it for three years, not counting interest costs. Basically $666 per month plus interest (at whatever your personal cost of funds is). If you assumed your cost of money on, let's call it $100K, is 6-6.5%, then it costs you another $500-550 per month- getting you right up to the $1200 lease payment.

The lease looks pretty good to me, even noting the high (IMHO) MF.

Just my two cents

PS- bottom line, if I were looking, I'd snap this lease up.

Total taxes are like $4-5K so about $100ish per month
$13k a year (excluding taxes) is a bit higher than my estimate of annual depreciation of $10k a year on this car. Money factor is a killer

@Shawn_Turismo, IMHO, do not buy any BEV, Taycan or otherwise, only lease it.

Not sure if you’re new to leasing, but you cannot change the RV, and it looks like the dealer is bumping the MF. Insist on the buy rate of .350, at least that’s what it was last month when I leased mine. Check Edmunds for current MF

For reference, I just picked up a new ‘24 CT 4S lease in early June for a base $717/mo w/no money down or DAS for 24mo/7500, but reportedly the deal is not replicable; nevertheless, it's a data point. GL
