Rims are chemically stripped, blasted and powdercoated.
Something different for the Stormtrooper.
First impression when I put them on the car: clean look.
The brakes stand out much more.
I like it!

I was kinda fed up by the tire shop cuz every time there was a little damage to the rims.
Also my Porsche dealer, so annoying.
So I did it myself.
The biggest struggle weren't the tires but the valve stems...
They had corroded (aluminium) inside the thread so undoing them was a hussle but in the end I managed...?

Bolted to the floor, that's not going anywhere!

I also painted the center caps cuz I like the gold of the logo.

I'm very pleased by the result and I learned to remove and put on tires myself (after watching dozens of YouTube vids). ?

PS The car looks blue/grey-ish but it's my camera, IRL the difference in color is hardly visible.
It's Carrara white vs plain white, lol.

Nice setup, didn't know one could change tires at home.
Actually, I didn't either!
I also thought it was very difficult without a machine but guess what? It's not!

Interesting mod. Not my taste, but still interesting. Cool you did a lot yourself and avoided damage. Kudo’s!

How are they in real life? from the photo’s I see quite a significant color difference compared to body color (Carrera metallic?).

In real life the difference is not that big.
It's my camera.
In the sun the metallic of the Carrara white compensates the small difference.
Besides, wheels get dirty so the difference is gone after a few days...?

Looks ok.
I don't know about your country but in mine everybody drives with black wheels.
That was also the reason I wanted to do something different.
Maybe next time I'll do Riviera Blue. ?

That would be a good color, I prefer Mexico Blue.
Black color for these more efficient wheels was secondary to not wanting the standard polished spokes, would have bought white ones if they had been for sale.
