After 1000 mi my ‘25 4S has total 3.3mi/kwh. I drive it in sport and +; all mi around town.
After 20k miles (2 yrs) in my J1 4S I had 3.2 mi/kWh overall.

I'm sure yours will improve but more or less your range enhancement is down to the larger capacity battery rather than improvedefficiency.

My J1.2 range is better due to the efficiency improvement 10-15% and larger battery 16%. I often get 3-3.2 mi/kW in the J1.2 and only once saw above 3 mi/kW in 54k miles in the J1.

Anyone have outdoor pictures of the turbonite window accent, and / or interior accents? The configuration tool does a shit job.

Thats odd but I guess it'll depend on driving style / conditions. I never reset my Total Trip since day 1 and achieved a decent average of 3.2 by the time I replaced the car.

Some folk will get more (USA in parts) and some less.

I only get 2.7 in my GTS but recently reported 3.4 on a couple of journeys which seems highly unlikely.

The GTS was billed as being more efficient amongst the J1s but...

I do not know why, but this year my average consumption is worse than last years by quite an amount.
Distnce last year 11 k miles
This year about 5 k miles with a lower average speed. Roughly identical driving style and roads and conditions?

So I would certainly appreciate some lower consumption and more battery capacity. But it is tough man maths to motivate a change to a MY25.

Answer to last Q is no, but you can enable it with PIWIS.
PAR is a game changer, so you probably should go with a `25.
Do you have PAR? You may have shared this somewhere else on the forums but can you expand on your real world experience with it? I am currently in decision paralysis based on not being able to test drive a vehicle with PAR as no dealers local have a test drive vehicle with it.

@ze_shark, could you share a link to the news room page where these images are posted. These are done in studio lighting conditions and these really bring out that bronze that should be more subtle. I think we need to see actual photos from the owners who have it if this cannot be seen in person.

No experience, just what I've read.

My car is volcano grey with turbonite, real-world pictures here in pages 1 and 2. The wheels (silver bits) are supposed to be painted turbonite too..... an ongoing saga.

https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/t...h-active-ride-first-impressions-photos.20730/

  • The stitching is turbonite as standard, it is subtle and works well
  • Interior trim parts look good, well judged
  • Metallic parts are the best, these looks really nice and premium (keyfob, bonnet badge, drive mode rotary switch)
  • The window surround part looks nice from a distance, but it is a matt/satin plastic part and looks plastic up close. It also appears a lighter colour than the other turbonite parts, perhaps because you see it in stronger outside light, this also makes it look plasticly. This part should have been metal like the keyfob IMO.

The plastic window surround will be sensitive to the exterior colour, so consider getting this in black if you fear a clash. I'm happy with it against volcano grey.

I agree owners cannot really compare to each other due to climate, diving style, specs etc. I drive the same daily commutes so I'm making a direct comparison between my ex J1 and J1.2. The numbers I compare are from the car's trip display, not the app.
