I feel like I am one of the few lucky owners that haven’t been impacted by these Hv recalls…. MY20 4S and seems to avoid all of this somehow

honestly the taycan is a great car, and if i get a new battery i may keep the car until it falls apart lol

Did you check if your car is affected? Since it's already been filed with NHTSA, recall check by VIN should show it. I ran mine, only ARB0 (brake lines) showing right now.

The harder working pig evidently watched too much internet which convinced it that brick homes can never burn down. Maybe a relative of the the little pig that believed that since Felicity Ace was made of metal, it is fire proof. Wait, aren't Taycans also made of metal?

Any insider information from local news? Any such large recalls tend to make local news (e.g. Boeing recalls often make locals news where I live).

To be honest, I’m more of an American living in Poland than Polish (although I am, but grew up in Santa Barbara, CA, and spent most of my life there). Don’t pay as much attention as I should what’s going on here outside of my little bubble.

Funny thing is, these ring cameras I have set up in Santa Barbara and Santa Maria make it that I get these alerts all the time… I know about all the lost dogs in the area ?

Nothing special, but might get me another Taycan and keep it there if prices keep dropping like this (although that house is very much burnable, built by the 2nd pig, so would need to be outside).

I’m also watching the gems that this Auto Kennel dude sells (won’t be linking but you can look it up). Tempting classics… but no extra toy money at the moment… plus, I think I enjoy the thought more than reality. I really like driving electrics.

My Dad also has this old thing in the garage… not driven lately though. Will need to get it washed and oil changed next time I’m in town. Fun little car for warm sunny days.

I get it. EV's have ruined the experience of ICE cars. I think I'd still enjoy a stick-shift 911 around a track (I used to own one long time ago), but for everyday driving I cannot give up the butter smooth acceleration of EVs (ok, Taycan has a little jolt due to the 2 gear, but I mostly got used to it). This is why I drove Model S'es for a decade, until Porsche came out with the Taycan (technically I was ready to buy after ~8 years, but it took almost 2 years to get Porsche to take my money to deliver one to me).

Neh, Boeing uses the Porsche Carrera GT recall approach - please park your car for 17 months because it's not safe to drive. 17 months later, please schedule the free repair and we'll throw in a free oil change and a new set of tires for the trouble. Of course the GT is only a seven digit priced car, and Boeings are in 9 digits, so maybe they threw in a wash too.
