Very cool to watch.. I'm familiar with the track due to playing/racing Gran Tourismo GT . . . also familiar with my Taycan . . . but the only racing I've done is round trips to the market, ha ha.

Fun to watch. Wish I had been the passenger.

good video - but driver spends a lot of time not being able to go to power because the Taycan is so heavy (driver 100% knowns what they are doing - driver is excellent - and knows enough to wait for the car to catch up to the track - it's the car not the driver) - there are multiple places where you'd be flat-full-throttle in a 911 GT3 or other sports car - Taycan is impressive but it's a fairly terrible track car - I'm sure it does well as a sports sedan - the only reason it's fast at all is the instant/ample torque

anyone who's driven that track and knows what they are doing can see "painful" periods of the driver just waiting to be able to "go to power" - and it's not even a "full" lap cause driver comes into pit with out doing a "full lap"...

great video, fun time, car does really really well for 5,000 lbs and Porsche has it tuned as well as they can - but it's by no means an optimal lap and there is a lot places where it's simply "waiting" for things to settle out because it's soooo big and heavy…

if you know you know…but it's entertaining.

actually I had the pleasure to be on the same event and in the same car, and it's more than obvious that they had to manage brake, tires and battery with 4 persons in that heavy car (they had not a single Weißach Turbo GT).

also we were able to drive the 992 GT3RS Weißach before, so the difference in weight and track performance was a leap.

after a few laps or 2-30? minutes they had to charge and cool down.
But no worry, they had like 30+ Taycan Turbo S and 2-3 GT ready to drive.

I was asking them If I could also get a charge, as I did not had a 22kW CEE adapter for my PMCC with me and it would have been possible if there was a single spare CCS free for me, but they charged like hell: 10 possible at once, but physical space around the truck was limited.

refueling the GT3s was a bit easier and faster:
