Using Car Scanner App to log, understand and diagnose Taycan

@Johan Meert When you finish AC charging and press the release button in the charging port, does the light turn white or stay green. In my previous Taycan it always turned white but in the MY2025 it seems to stay green but releases the plug.

I'm having difficulty in getting my car to connect to my EV tariff App Charge Anytime... it connects and reads the soc but does finalise the connection.

Edit.... it goes white when you press the button while charging. If it has reached the desired soc it stay green. I think my J.1 did the same ?

I just checked this morning. The light is steady green when charging is complete.

Thank you. On further investigation it goes white if you press it while it is still charging.
I'm making progress with the EV tariff issue. I reached out to the Chief Technical Officer at Enode on Friday evening and he identified the issue was with the Enode not sending the correct battery capacity to OVO. He has fixed it at their end but now needs OVO to update their system. Impressive response from one of the Company's founding directors. He was on the case until 10.05pm

The Porsche card did work but a few hours later I saw that the charging session was still running. So I called the Porsche number on my charging card: they just deleted the entire session without charging anything.

I have had a lot of problems to get charging at Allego network in 2022, and thought they had sorted that out by now! I had a few scares where I nearly ran out of juice due to non functioning Allego chargers and Taycan. Other cars were charging there just fine. And phoning their helpline was the most unhelpful thing I ever experienced. Basically it was “”If it does not work when you try, it does not work, have a good day”

I have avoided them since and never tried again.

Pro Version is not a must, but worth it, no ads and the ability to export logs to analyse further e.g. with Jupyter

This is one of the better known OBD2 apps and I helped the author with making it work with the Taycan and provided some reverse engineered diag channels (some call it sensors or PIDs).

I tested at least 5 different dongles, BLE Dongles are much easier to handle and must have for IOS.

please test it and share some impression, screenshots, data, bugs, ideas and dashboard designs!

in settings, choose your BT device, then select Porsche, Taycan profile and ready to connect and play around.

Thank you for your work with the Taycan & Car Scanner. I managed to get Car Scanner to talk to my 2020 Taycan 4S. How can I get the display of all the battery cell voltages? Also is there any chance that Car Scanner can reset the service indicator?
