The post title says it all. Of course being a Taycan 4 (sedan) it's a new car. Any recommendations?

EDIT: The post title omits the fact that being a BEV makes the Taycan a special case, as most independent Porsche shops work primarily or exclusively on gas-fueled cars.

EDIT: I've decided to do without an independent PPI. The dealer will take a thorough set of pictures on truck loading day.

Intersport in McLean VA is about 20 minutes and could certainly do it. Autotherapy (https://porscherepairmdc.com/) is about 15 minutes away in Gaithersburg MD - they did my 987 PPI years ago. Autobahn Motor Works is in Bethesda and also does PPIs.

Just went through this buying a car from Austin, but was lucky enough to be in town for work to drive the car. Good luck!

Autobahn goes to voicemail, and couldn't find a website for them. Autotherapy doesn't do BEV cars. I've edited my OP to note the "BEV problem" and also the following conclusion...

The phone answerer at Intersport was very helpful. After he said they could do a PPI on a BEV/Taycan, I asked for a summary of the process. The thoroughness of it, for $600, seemed overwhelming for a 0-mileage car. I said I was looking for more of a visual, primarily exterior inspection for dings and scratches that might occur during shipping. He had a great suggestion: check with local auto detailing and paint shops. I will do that! ... Thanks for your help!

Given that the Taycan 4 is a BEV, it’s best to find someone who’s experienced with Porsche electric models, as many independent shops may lean more towards traditional gas vehicles. I'd recommend reaching out to a Porsche-certified mechanic or specialist in the N. Bethesda area who can thoroughly check the battery, electronics, and overall condition.

Get Porsche CPO….PPI is not necessary.
