This software looks great and is a fantastic contribution.
FYI though, when I scanned the zipfile I downloaded from the link on the first page it was flagged by Windows Defender as having this virus: Trojan:Script/Sabsik.FL.A!ml
I'm on Windows 11 with Defender updated to the current day (06/17/2025).
There is info online that this might be an incorrect detection, the ml suffix seems to indicate it was identified through machine learning (an early detection algorithm) which can be a false positive.
Personally I can download and use an old laptop or create a VM and do the scan, but it seems a reasonable idea to check out the upload and make sure it didn't pick up some unintended code.

Quick question: if a test shows the battery modules have voltage imbalance, and after doing the balancing steps the issue still doesn't improve, what should be the next move? I mean... it's not like Porsche dealerships are going to run a battery diagnostic or replacement just because of this, right?

We all know the data from this tool is real and visual, and yeah, Carscanner does show the voltage of each cell, but your integration and visualization make everything so much easier to read and understand. Seriously, awesome job!

Mine is a 2022 with 44k miles. At 28% SOC, I have 10 yellow cells. For some reason, my battery is losing 10 % of charge at night when the charge is under 30%.
I believe the battery is trying to balance during the night but it seems outrageously high.
I think the battery is on the way out. Any ideas?

I will charge it tomorrow to see it the voltage differential is lower and turn the battery green.

No, you are experiencing a battery failure. Very soon your battery will fully fail with the red light of dead.

The modules shown in yellow are the bad ones.

It hasnt picked up anything. The tool is heavily obfuscated to protect my work and IP from copycats.

Obviously some antivirus dont like obfuscated softwares because they cant read them at all abd many virus are obfuscated too because the hackers know an obfuscated program cant be read/analyzed by AV.

So false positives occur on obfuscated software but that’s the way it is. I need to protect my work otherwise someone will copy it in no time for sure!

Carscanner is an estimation of the voltage and without diagnosis. Also way more expensive than my tool having to order their adapter etc. pretty useless…..

All good with my vehicle, I'm going into my local Porsche centre tomorrow for one of my 6-weekly battery checks so I now know it should be a straight-forward visit Thanks for the software tool, works a treat !

Thank you for your program. Pretty good.

I used Car Scanner and I downloaded all individual cell voltages. I checked a couple of modules (Min and Max) and the figures from both CT14 app and Car Scanner are equal.
I think Car scanner is reading the voltage correctly it is just impossible to see any differential voltage because it reads each punch and not the module entirely.

I think your assessment of my battery is not very far off. It will start falling soon. I just need to wait for it. Ten failing modules are a lot.

Hmmm yes.. this battery I give it no more than 6 months. Possibly 3.

The good news is I dont think they will bother repairing it and when it does fail you'll get the 9J1.2.

I know Car Scanner reads the voltage correctly. But they read what the BMS reports as the total module voltage, whereas we read the voltages of each of the six cell pairs in the module and then sum them to get the total module voltage. In many cases it matches up but the BMS estimates it so it's not always as accurate.

Also CarScanner doesn't assess failing modules
