How do I buy a fidelity warranty for my 2022 Taycan 4S

Everything I’ve read remarks that Fidelity is the best by a mile. But how in the world do I buy it? My dealership is offering me $6900 for an extra 5 years and total of 100k miles through Zurich, any thoughts on this? It’s a 2022 still covered until Jan 26 by manufacturer but it only has 23k miles and that means 77k miles of it possibly breaking and costing me haha

For the record, I was able to get a better price on the Porsche Platinum 48mo/60,000 miles (total miles) through negotiations with my dealer than I was from Fidelity.

Part of my success had to do with timing. Dealers like to get extra revenue in by the end of the month, so if possible have your final discussion regarding price discounts in the last week of the month. You can check out my journey to this outcome by going to this thread -

No sir, the info in those threads are outdated as the dealers no longer offer Fidelity. I did tons of digging before deciding to post

For the record, I was able to get a better price on the Porsche Platinum 48mo/60,000 miles (total miles) through negotiations with my dealer than I was from Fidelity.

Since we are in different parts of the country, I recommend you go to your local dealer to initiate a discussion. They have a relationship with you and are likely to want to keep you happy and having a negotiation.

That seems to be what happened in my case. If I had simply called up a dealer in another state, I’m not sure what response I would’ve received.

Yes, dead end. Called Fidelity who gave me a number and that was a dead end. Guess I’m going with Zurich haha.

I bought the extended warranty for an additional 48 months up to 100K miles total from Porsche when I purchased my 2021 CPO in 11/23 which was originally delivered 1/2022. I paid $7800 to be covered bumper to bumper until January 2030 the same as my battery warranty.
I thought it was worth it since I have no worries until after January 2030 for anything since I’ll never put 100K miles on our Taycan by 2030.
I figure by 2030 I should know for certain what the repair issues have been for all the minor & major systems as well as my HV battery health.
If it did well for the first 8 years then I’ll keep it and if it had many issues then I can get rid of it. Since I won’t ever put more than 6K miles per year and I have 40K now, I will likely only put less than 70K miles on my Taycan by January 2030. I’ll use an ICE or Hybrid for long trip’s worst case unless the next Porsche Boxster or Cayman EVs have a range greater than 400 miles.
If Porsche gets to a 600 mile range then I’d go full EV with no doubt.

OP - did you check out the thread I referenced above? Folks on this form provided me with a lot of good data and I was able to use that to effectively negotiate a 32% reduction in price to below $4000.

In my negotiation, I used the data that folks on this forum gave me and there were some back-and-forth, but honestly, I was ready to go check out dealers and other states if my local dealer couldn’t give me a better price. When I reached that point, I told my local dealer that if I started checking with dealers in other states, and they offered me a good price, I was just going to take it rather than waste their time, so this was their last chance to sell me a policy.

By the way, you are aware that this is an insurance policy right? Should you decide to sell your Taycan after a year or so you can get a refund for the unused part.

Yes, I was not a member of the forum at the time I bought my 2021 CPO so I probably could have negotiated a better deal on the extended warranty coverage I purchased with my Taycan.
It was pricey for an additional 4 years but I figured at less than $2K per year for 4 years any motor, transmission, charging system components, displays or other electronics could be $10K plus for anything that fails.
Time will tell but I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I don’t see big repairs between now and 2030 so I’m comfortable to keep my Taycan forever. If I get hit with a $20K repair of a rear motor/transmission or a $30K repair/replacement of the HV battery then my plan to keep it indefinitely may change…

Went to my local Porsche today. I negotiated today with a local dealer to $7403 for 100k miles 10 a/ $250 deductible and $8362 for 100k miles 10 yr with a $100 deductible(or free if serviced there). I played hardball and told him I’d be a buyer at $7500 for the $100 deductible and he told me “I’m here to make money”, and so I walked. Anyone have any luck getting the numbers I’m after?
