This is a really good point: one can’t keep waiting forever. There is a value to everyday enjoyment in the short to medium term. The new interior will make it a little darker inside. All I will say though, is you can wait forever for a new upgrade to come. Life is too short to wait for the next best thing.
I wasn't sure what you meant so I had to go look on the configurator. Looks like the two mode steering wheel (two dials, one for drive and one for PASM) is only available on Turbos on up and standard on GTs.As I understand it the two mode steering wheel can not be specced heated. Deal breaker for me. Ok if you live in a hot climate.
There goes a debate that I keep changing my mind! I’m quite tempted for the Purple sky metallic. I’d like something different from the boring dark colours. But then there is the question of which wheels to go for. The Spyder wheels are lovely but I’m not the greatest of fan of black wheels. They work better with lighter colours and also carmine red. That was a thought too, but my Boxster GTS 4.0 is in carmine with black wheels so I feel I need to go with a different colour. I prefer the diamond cut version of the Spyder wheels that you can specify on every other trim level other than the GTS. So I haven’t made up my mind quite yet. What colour would you like? This is a really good point: one can’t keep waiting forever. There is a value to everyday enjoyment in the short to medium term.
I was hanging onto my Tesla far too long, waiting for the Lucid Air GT for the past four years - then the blighters cancelled my deposit (without apology) - which is why I am here. (Probably no bad thing, actually!)
@Beattie: what colour combo are you going for on your GTS please ?
That’s all I’m basing it off is from the configurator. Be interesting to hear Mr Smiths answer to it.I wasn't sure what you meant so I had to go look on the configurator. The option (the screenshot below) does state no heating. Interestingly the standard option description on the GT does not. @Mr.Smith does yours have a heated steering wheel?

You're right I missed in the the middle of all of the options. The GT Sport Steering Wheel in Race-Tex including Two Mode Switches and Paddles option is there in the US configurator for the GTS.

I do like pale blue and have considered it too. I think it looks best in sun light. I think I’d still like to go with something a little lighter.Pale Blue is the only way
This is essentially my car (my doesn't have insulated glass which is standard now on the premium package): https://porsche-code.com/PTWAQMQ4

I have to say I really love Bahama Yellow![]()
Having spent much of this afternoon discussing the specs with my son, I think I'm converging onto either:-What colour would you like?
First off, the colour you choose is going to be very much personal taste. You can ask in the forum but everyone is going to have differing opinions. Gentian Blue is nice. I’m not keen on the chrome window trim but I know you like it. I would also have privacy glass. Ice grey can look stunning in the sun but quite dull and grey like when cloudy. I think if you picked the 20” wheels you would kick yourself for not choosing the 21” if nothing else for aesthetic reasons alone. If ice grey then I would have the black Spyder wheels.Having spent much of this afternoon discussing the specs with my son, I think I'm converging onto either:-
Option 1: Taycan 4S in Gentian Blue + 21-inch RS Spyders + two-tone black/crayon leather. Note that this is *NOT* the "Black Edition", as that is too restrictive vis a vis options - I like the "chrome" highlights.

Option 2: GTS in either Ice Grey or Dolomite Silver + 20-inch wheels (better ride?) + Club Leather (black) with Neodyme highlights:-

I know I said I wasn't a fan of black leather - but I think those "Neodyme" accents help to lift the interior - or is this too "bling"?!
In the interest of ride quality, I'm mulling 20-inch wheels for the GTS options. Yes, the RS Spyders look nicer…
Useful feedback - thanks. I haven’t seen many of these in the wild, and the configurator is quite misleading colour wise.Ice grey can look stunning in the sun but quite dull and grey like when cloudy.
I suppose I could always get a set of 20-inch wheels with winter tyres.I think if you picked the 20” wheels you would kick yourself for not choosing the 21” if nothing else for aesthetic reasons alone
