This would suggest that the PCM has a way to control the max charge rate, which would make it an even bigger omission on Porsche's side not to include ability to control the max current in the PCM. It is a very useful feature, allowing users to limit the charging current via the PCM or the app.My J1.2 also charged at 48A/10.6KW when it was new. The major update that brought the PCM version to 4360 also reduced the maximum A/C charging speed to 40A/9.6KW. (That update was done at the dealer, not OTA).
A lawsuit would be another way to extract an explicit response.I'd be fascinated if your contacts at Porsche are willing to reveal anything about this change, but I'd also be very surprised.
