They didnt close air filter box. I made same mistake when DIYed myself, had whistle all the time
Just remove cover and try to lock airbox. Be careful as plastic clips on cover easy to snap, might need to move filter itself back and forth
Sure, everything can be possible, but from my experience(writing code for other mutlimedia manufacturer) - changes within same model line usually minor and can be even backward compatible
The easiest way to test it - to buy headunit from j1.2 and see whats not working
Yes, i expressed myself wrong. What I meant is that if some data is missing on flexray/can, it simply will not be displayed on PCM screen, maybe some ?? or ** symbols will appear in place of missing data
but absence of data has no impact on overall car performance, just a cosmetical effect
99% its not a case
PCM runs its own software, totally separated from other control units. So as long as package IDs remain the same(which I think it is) - you'll be fine
What I think is that you possibly can even upgrade(retrofit) PCM from newer version(newer HW) and it should run just well...
I will try to a look
i have thumb drive, will drop few flacs to see how it works/sounds
i did this bose -> burmester conversion but turned out I never tested mp3 vs flac on this new setup
you can use carplay to play anything. Because it uses wifi instead of BT for connectivity - you can play flac. I use Qobuz to play hi-res, but I can't say I hear difference comparing to regular 320kbps mp3 file
Im afraid that will never happen, both type1 and type2 are widely used nowadays
same story as miles vs kms, except its easier to switch miles to kms than type-1 to type-2
Yes, I got both ports at once, but I don't think they will work, since other port also has AC/DC charger capability, so either AC/DC will not work with AC, or other AC port will not work. Best to change both
Instead of wiring colors(they might be differenr for you) - find terminal 30 and 31 measure with multimeter if there's 12v(make sure car turned on)
on clock connector - see pic in first post what is what
there's only 1 type of matrix lights for taycan. In US - they can be installed physically but its working as regular LED due to some law restrictions and AFAIK they weren't changed on j1.2
