Yes they are individual, and they always measure different capacitances among themselves. I always replace all of them so their capacitance is balanced when doing inverter repair.
Film caps indeed
The Japanese.... HITACHI
Now I am very curious, no revisions were made to the Taycan cooling system within 9J1.1 (early 2019 had a slight revision). But other than that it all stayed the same.
However from my experience 2019 2020 and 2021 Taycan inverters fail A LOT (and it's always the bus cap) however the cooling...
Thank you, I did see in the telemetry that Kimi was sitting at about 12,300 rpm with 30% throttle whereas George was also sitting at about 12,300 rpm but only 10% throttle. Makes sense. I thought it was battery related haha.... Thank you very much for that... my curiosity is now satisfied
@F1Ruaraidh
Off-topic to this, but since you are in F1 I'm extremely curious..... and I can't help but ask
It is said that during the start procedure fuel is burned to spin the MGU-K and recharge the battery pack. This extra fuel burn produces more exhaust flow which in turn spools up the...
Not sure about original ones.
I have my own supplier in China which provides me with 70uF 1200V capacitors x6 = 420uF for front and x12 = 840 uF
We offer this repair as a cheaper alternative but it cannot be guaranteed 100% when it will fail again because they are not original!
Yes
factory spec is 800uF with minimum accepted threshold 600uF for REAR INVERTER
factory spec is 400uF with minimum accepted threshold 300uF for FRONT INVERTER (except TurboS)
factory spec is 800uF with minimum accepted threshold 600uF for FRONT INVERTER (except TurboS)
In this case the...
No that's just the DC Link capacitor which acts as a shock absorber for the DC Bus absorbing the ripple generated by the inrush current into the motors when accelerating hard.
This capacitor degrades over time and loses capacitance, so it loses its ripple absorption properties and then when...
In this case they were repaired with new ones as per customer choice cuz he needed them to be 100%.
However the DC Link capacitor inside each inverter can be replaced and thus they can be repaired.
After battling this issue for nearly four years, the owner finally brought his car to CT14 Garage in Bangkok, Thailand.
During that time, he had to drive extremely carefully because any heavy throttle input could trigger a red Electrical System Fault. When the fault appeared, the air...
We always put battery chargers during update, but it changes nothing. It will brick the same. Has nothing to do with voltage.
Even on normal updates (not 9j1.1 to 9j1.2) about 1/6 units brick. Even Porsche dealers experience this on the same rate
So yeah it's quite bad anyways
You can make it happen. STEUER14 comes with a manual SFD2 exchange where you can generate the request token, have it signed by someone who has PPN/FAZIT and input the signed response then SFD2 is unlocked and you can do whatever you want.
There are some people offering this services to sign...
It's tried. 1 unit succeeds for every 2 killed. So 1/3 are the odds.
33% chance of success.. 66% almost 70% chance of dead PCM.
Nothing I can do about it.
