  1. Super Bowl Commercial "The Heist" Starring the Taycan

I did not think of that. Good point.
  2. Super Bowl Commercial "The Heist" Starring the Taycan

As a Tesla Fanboy here as my observations after watching the ad. 1) Screen your guards better, having a garage full of sports cars while having speed freaks as guards is a surefire way for getting extra mileage use on your machines. 2) Is it really possible to drive backwards at the speeds it...
  3. Close Enough ? Yes or No

I don't understand why so many people are so hooked on the looks only. While I love the Mission-E look, this present look is not bad either. I was under the understanding that what would really make this car different is the how it would be able to hold high speeds for a long time, basically...
  4. Personal Question

Just asking to see what people think their needs are. What is the minimum range you need in the Taycan? Is 200 miles enough, 250 miles, 300 miles. I am sure a range of 300 miles will meet just about everybody's needs, but I wonder what the min. range people would accept in this type of sports...
  5. Taycan fifth seat and tow hook?

Both the Tesla Model Y and Model 3 will have an tow option to be added later. It seems one of the biggest complaints against the Tesla designs was a lack of towing ability. In the future I think most BEVs will have the option to add towing because there is so much demand for it, even with a...
  6. Artificial engine sound for exterior & interior

External sound will be under government regulations. Internal sounds should not just be there to sound like an ICE car, I have no preferred sounds, but I want they to give TRUE feedback to me as a driver. I want the sounds to match the power going to the wheels, hopefully a sound to how hard...
  7. Taycan vs Model S vs [What Future Competitors?]

Have you consider the power needed to charge so fast. Those cables need to handle a lot of power. Earl Colby Pottinger (Tesla, Bollinger, Rivian and other BEVs fan)
  8. Charger math - how does it all work?

Note: Here in Ontario power is $0.068 per kWh at night. That will really cut down to costs to drive.
  9. Taycan Demand Grows, Especially Among Tesla and Non-Porsche Customers

The problem, until the Taycan is delivered into the hands of people who test it in real world conditions you can not claim it's performance will be better than Tesla's. Also the production problems you try to bring up are from more than a year ago. And have little to do will the production...
  10. Porsche should bring a Taycan sedan to compete with Tesla Model 3

The question is can they meet production demands. Already Jaguar has found itself having more orders that it can handle. They originally projected that they would make and sell about 30K next year, now they have increased expected production to 50K and all of next year's orders are been booked...
  11. Video: Porsche Taycan Benchmarking Against Tesla Model S

It is not sure the refresh will be next year, it may be a year later. Earl Colby Pottinger (Tesla and Bollinger fan)
  12. Charging Taycan at all public charging stations including Superchargers?

What is interesting is Tesla is now adding CCS to it's superchargers, so they will in theory work with Taycans, but no-one knows what is required to let a non-Tesla car use them yet. Tesla may make it easy for other brands to use the CCS connections or may not. Only time will tell. Earl Colby...
