I have a MY24 and did get an adapter from Porsche. I had responded to their email and while it took a while (a couple of months if I remember right) the adapter was delivered to my home.

You have to support the wire with your left hand and pull out using your right hand (see video). This is to disconnect the mirror power plug - assume you are trying to do that.

No, I have checked it on various surfaces, it is not road or tire noise. In fact, it is most pronounced when the road noise is absent (on a freshly paved asphalt road). If the car is on cruise control, the noise only comes when it is providing power and not when it is coasting (so not road noise).
