Oooh, yes please. I didn’t know that was a lever under your control (gear selection). I pretty much switch to sport every time, so I hit that hiccup a lot.
What do you mean about the gearbox? I haven’t noticed anything for reverse. But when going into sport, I can sometimes feel a slight skip/lurch. I assumed a downshift?
And yes, the power with MapEv is obscene. I have to be super careful on the pedal. It doesn’t take much more than a twitch of...
I’m pretty sure that for J1.2 the only mode NOT customizable is Normal. And yes, I believe surround mode is locked to the screen while in reverse at all times (can’t dismiss).
I just noticed we all have flags in the upper right of our posts (as you mentioned Canada and there’s the maple leaf). This makes me wonder why mine is Japan?? I don’t remember setting that. And my profile says US (which is correct). And I don’t see where to change the flag…
Same problem. I begrudgingly pay for the hotspot, and connect to that (which works simultaneously with CarPlay, and there is a setting to enable phone over WiFi). This seems to work. Well, other than the fact that it can take a couple of minutes for the hotspot to turn on each time the car...
Now that I know other people have a surround camera button in the center I can see why it would be confusing I’d use up a custom button. Mine is parking assist (which when opened has a button to turn on the camera, but that’s 2 clicks).

Apple Music
Apple Podcasts
Radio Plus
Spotify
Wifi Hotspot
You can confirm this on J1.2 by going to:
Settings
Privacy and Porsche Connect
Overview of all Porsche Connect...
I missed this thread until now. I don’t know when exactly it started for me, but I see similar issues with the built-in Apple Music. But I’m also paying for the hot spot, which also is failing. But it’s not all of the internet/cellular services, as Google search in navigation works fine. I did...
Well, unless no one buys new...then the cycle breaks.
Don't worry, I helped this round (kind of) by buying new. But I just checked and my mean/median length of car ownership is 7/6 years, so it will take a while before mine enters the used market.
That's $1300/mo (which would be the vaguely similar apples-to-apples if you had leased)? Sounds fine to me. All I keep seeing is how terribly Taycans depreciate, but you were within a rounding error of the industry average with a 43% residual (https://www.kbb.com/car-depreciation/).
