  1. My first Porsche has ruined other cars for me, and cured my range anxiety

Yet another post in full agreement here, M. TaycanParis. Mine is the coupe GTS, picked it up under 2 years old with just 8.5k km on it, it was indistinguishable from new. 10 months later we have it at just under 21k km. It's safely taken us to Germany, down to Epernay, over to the UK multiple...
  2. EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues [Solved with PCM v3892]

They did the update in the end, but I agree with you on the treatment - this is not the way a premium brand should treat its customers.
  3. EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues [Solved with PCM v3892]

I dropped my Taycan off at Porsche Mechelin this morning, on arrival the service receptionist said they need a video to be able to claim the WTG1 under warranty and without it they'd need to charge me. I said, in no uncertain terms, that was not happening, and asked why they hadn't made this...
  4. Richard Hammond's new car is a J1.2 CT4S!

Yeah my GF begged me not to get the "universal" - apparently what they call estate cars in Ukraine!
  5. [FREE] CAMPAIGN RECALL AND SERVICE HISTORY CHECK

    DM sent, many thanks !
  6. WST2 OTA update

The car has been in areas of good connectivity for days but still showed the "active process" message. I did the 2 finger engineering menu reboot this morning and it let me try the install again. When I left it it appeared to be installing...
  7. WST2 OTA update

I tried to update this a couple of times but it seemed to fail as both my home parking garage and work parking garage have very poor signal. I keep getting a notification that the update is available but when I click on it I now get "Function not possible due to an active process" - any ideas?
  8. Taycan owners in Belgium? CT? EV fast charging in Belgium.

The same yesterday - one charged me to 40% then threw a fault screen, 3 others wouldn't even start charging. And don't get me started on the appalling sign posting at these services, as far as I can tell you have to drive through the petrol pumps to get to the parking area then out of that area...
  9. Have not realized how good Auto-regen function is … in 3.5 years….

It most definitely does need washing - on my way down to Paris in September (not a hint of snow!) but a lot of rain and spray, the innodrive stopped working with a message that the sensor needed cleaning. Very annoying as that's when I needed it most. Pulled off, found the sensor - who puts a...
  10. Have not realized how good Auto-regen function is … in 3.5 years….

If they can do a rear camera washer why didn't they do an Innodrive/Active CC sensor washer?!
  11. Battery state of health on used models

For what it's worth, I asked for the SOH before buying my car. The Porsche dealership reported 91%. +/- 5% I wasn't impressed but the car was otherwise perfect and the salesman asked why I was worried, it has an 8 year warranty. I bought the car, got it home and bought the kit for the...
  12. Charging - Pls explain to me as if I am a 12-yo child

But that's what a minimum is! If you tell it in the profile to charge between 0200 and 0700 as that example does, it will do just that, charge between 0200 and 0700 to whatever SOC it can achieve. It's a needlessly complex system, but it is behaving as expected.
  13. EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues [Solved with PCM v3892]

Is there a reference we can quote to our local Porsche dealer so we don't have to go through all of the faff of convincing them it's a problem, have them investigate it for a few days, try to pretend it's not a problem, etc etc?
  14. UK Government considering new tax on EV drivers in Budget (According to BBC and Telegraph)

But that's utterly stupid, road damage from weight is proportional to the weight raised to the power 4, so whilst the Taycan does more damage to the roads than the Cupra, it's the HGVs that really damage the roads. If the damage done by the Cupra (say 1.3 tonnes over 2 axles) is a factor 1...
