That said, you are going to plug it into your $100K+ vehicle. So maybe avoid the super-duper cheap ones and get a UL-listed model from one of the major brands (like Lectron).

Less of an issue for the J1.2 honestly. Different chemistry means that if the ambient temp is already in the 70s you’re pretty much good to go, and the Taycan kind of shrugs at the resulting ~150kW speed anyway. That’s been my experience at the Magic Dock station in Scotts Valley at least.
