Navigation systeem hanging and crashing regularly, common issue?

I've had my Porsche Taycan 4s (CPO/Porsche Approved Occasions) since June. The car is a 2021/2022 model year.
I'm quite fond of the car, except for one really annoying problem; the navigation system frequently hangs. This results in navigation instructions not being updated, or even being notified of instructions when needed. Resulting in missed exits. It also means that the distance and time to destination are not updated.

Sometimes this resolves itself after a few minutes, and the car location on the map is still being updated, so I can use the map to navigate.
In other cases, the system completely hangs, and the navigation system crashes after a minute. Followed by a restart, and requiring the navigation to be and re-entered.

The Porsche dealer attempted a software update, but this didn't resolve the issue. While I had them work on my car, I had a loaner Porsche Taycan (model year 2024/2025 iirc). The new model had the exact same issue happen to me twice.

Are these common issues with the Taycan, and is there a solution available for this problem?

Couldn't find anything about it earlier with Google... Glad to know it's a common issue, hopefully we will see a fix soon.

“Great” find it is also a j1.2 issue @gijs007. I think that is new information. Super weird.

for now a solition is to turn off “Porsche Charging Services” in the navigation settings.

I had same problem and like to use it as it shows on the heads up where as I can’t get google maps to show on heads up.
Porsche will update the software if you take it in. I had to take in twice but then they opened a ticket and following advice updated a number of software items including the navigation. Has now been working perfectly for three weeks.
So worth persisting.

Never happened to me in four years with J1.1….also no problems with J1.2 after 3k km
