After just over five years with the Taycan Turbo.. I think 27 service visits, and a stack of paperwork an inch thick it was time to call it a day.

Much as the car drove really well, handled well, I just could not find the desire to buy a J2 and look at essentially the same interior etc for an other few years. Not new news..but the depreciation was gulp inducing. Cross shopped new DBX (some ludicrous deals but have another Aston and don't really love the idea of two) new M5 Touring ...meh on styling and digital elements and landed on a new RS6 Performance as sensible car

Taycan didn't put me off Porsche overall...but as mine was one of the first it had all the problems (except battery!) but another Taycan was not for me

Was it a 2020 model? If so, that answers a lot of questions. I have made it a practice to never buy a first year model of anything and this approach has served me well over the years. Good luck with your new Audi!

I went the other way C8 RS6 > ST GTS. Felt the Porsche had far better handing and an interior fit for a car of such value.

Be interesting to hear your thoughts.

No one cares.
Dee; first, I care. As a car enthusiast, I like hearing people's rationale for buying a Taycan vs. another great car.

Second, what do you gain with such a dismissive and condescending comment? Better left unsaid, no? Why not be kind to others?

Hi yes it was a 2020, knew (and was happy to be) that I'd be a beta tester essentially..unfortuntately it was also one of the ones that stopped dead in the middle of a freeway, never really felt the same about it after that.

The plusses were definitely handling, speed, steering (and service costs were under $1500 over 5 years)

Yes I did think oh the RS6 is an interior from a far less expensive vehicle , but like the touch points etc - Taycan interior was lovely.
