Man I was sweating it when the tech sent me a video showing these scratches when I brought the car in for a recall and they did their complimentary inspection. I know they weren’t done by me, it was a CPO car, but when I called the selling dealership they told me they don’t do undercarriage inspection. Definitely need to be careful.

Unfortunately some dealers lie/are ignorant/just want your money/avoid liability.

Underbody checks are included at Part F of the fabled 111 point check - see attached.
When buying, insist on a video of the underside, an extended battery health check, request sight of the 111 check, and scrutinise it.
Note the question in Part G in the example here about damage/accident repairs to the vehicle wasn’t answered. Other questions were also unanswered, at some points there are more ticks than boxes, and the mileage was incorrect.
Apparently nobody asks to see the 111 point check report.

Compare the Porsche 111 point check report above with the more persuasive Range Rover 165 point check report attached.
E.g. presentation, and detail on service history, pad and disc wear, carbon/ceramic disc wear, tread depths etc.

It’s great that a company like OGS will apply some theory knowledge and fix items rather replace whole assemblies. Their work also reveals the poor manufacturing and safety design (e.g. unlike Tesla, no monitoring of HV battery coolant temperature and pressure?)

Also take a look at some of their other videos.
Excellent video to see what is required to repair and how the Taycan works.
Thanks for posting.

This was the only area that I did not research and I’m hoping it doesn’t come back to kick me later on.

Odd.... my 111 check has more info that what you posted. Example, brakes:

The brake wear measure for the version I received just said a suitably vague ‘within wear limits‘.

links to parts 1 and 2 of the OGS Mechanics Taycan repair video.

One point new to me was that the Traction Motor contains oil and can be subject to leaks. A Traction Motor can also be trashed should coolant for the Inverter leak into it.
In the repairs here a used motor was used in the repair - supply of these is plentiful. Replacement by a dealer with a new part, plus labour, would likely exceed the cost of a full HV battery replacement. That could exceed the value of the car.

A viewer comment to one of the videos says that there is no oil supposed to be in the traction motor, so who knows...
