Just back from Los Gatos service to have two rattles looked at. This is my second time there... I was there in January to change a tire due to a screw.
Knowing that rattles are hard to reproduce I offered to take the tech for a ride along when I dropped of the car yesterday. The service writer called me today saying the tech couldn't reproduce the problem after going down my recommended path 5 times and asked me to come in to take him out.
I was able to reproduce one of the rattles consistently (back passenger side) however we couldn't get the other (driver front door card) to make a sound. They said they fixed it reporting this note "REPOSITIONED WIFI2 ANTENNA ONTO ITS BRACKET AND CONFIRMED". This improved the rattle so it's not a near constant but it still shows up on bumps unfortunately. I'll keep monitoring and try to figure out the front one (I may try the plastic washer trick since I can stop it by pressing my elbow against the door card).
They also applied campaign WSQ7 " Re-Programming High-Voltage Voltage Converter Control Unit ". Didn't know I needed that... is that the one that lowered the 11 kwh charge to 9? My home charger isn't powerful enough so I won't see a different I don't think.
Finally they set all of my tires to 41 PSI :\
Over all on both visits they've treated me well and honored my request not to wash the car.
