Posted this in the mega thread on delivery and searched the forum but don’t see this question asked anywhere, at least I was not able to find it.
I have received the track your dream email and am able to login and see my car. The dates line up with what my SA told me.
However, the config is...
Must have options are really personal. For me:
Premium package - has 14 way ventilated seats, pano roof, Bose sound, lane change assist, PDLS lights
Adaptive cruise
Door sill guards in black (free)
20” wheels
Window trim in high gloss black
Nice to haves were power mirrors, Porsche crest on...
Well, let me put it this way: if you don't, the points you just mentioned about your Tesla aren't relevant any more and therefore not worth mentioning.
There's an irony in there.
If you aren't disappointed, I stand corrected about the point you will be disappointed for the wrong reasons.
But...
I’ve been reasonably happy with my S and have put up with the crappy interior because the software is simply ahead of any other car I’ve been in. OTA updates, mobile service at home, and the AP with lane changing and freeway changing is very reliable. I am not a fan of Musk’s lying but I will...
Yeah I think your post triggered a couple of strong reactions! I think my attitude as an ex Tesla owner will be similar to the attitude of an ex smoker i.e. becoming the strongest critic
I bought a Model S 4 years ago and it hasn’t even entered my head to change back to an ICE car. I now have a Taycan on order. I actually like the stealth acceleration and the max torque from standing.
My wife has an ICE SUV, I’m not quite ready to give it up until we have more charging...
Happy to be part of this thread as of yesterday
Paid $2,500 deposit 4 weeks ago
Allocation received on Wednesday (July 14)
Auto received a track your dream email on Friday (July 16)
Says 57 days to freeze and 139 days to delivery
My build has a few items missing, texted my SA...
Me too! My configurator also does not work for the code sent by my dealer so he sends me a PDF printout instead
- Deposit placed just under a month ago
- Allocation received this week
- Within 2 days of receiving an allocation, got a track your dream email from Porsche (although config is a...
It’s a very personal decision. I think the standard leather is fine but then I’ve owned a Model S with crappy interior for the past 4 years. I would go for the tech over the leather
Find a dealer who will give you the MY22 for the MY21 price. My dealer couldn’t give me a discount as they only get one or two allocations per month but they did give me a 22 for the same price and also a couple of other items as well as part of the discussion
I probably need to use the carpool on my own 2-3 times per month. I rarely have anyone else in my car at times when I need the carpool. So I think I will definitely apply for the stickers but won't apply them. Thanks!
For those of you who live in the US and get to use the HOV/car pool lane in an EV, this is something else I would check with your dealer prior to picking up the car.
Pro tip - you are supposed to stick these ugly stickers on your rear bumper area, I've never done it in the 4 years of owning a...
My sales guy said you can but I would verify in person. It could save you a few quid if you only want the button on the steering wheel. Next time I go to the dealer I am going to verify in person but that may not be for a couple of weeks or more.
In regards to "porsche logo everywhere", I felt...
I just tried to add electric and it insists on adding Taycan at the rear which I have deleted. I think it looks a little busy at the back so I went with the free deletion
Looks like a pretty good build, similar to what I have but looks like you don't have package options in the UK. I went with the premium package which got me some of your features plus the ionizer, pano roof (good for making the cabin seem more roomy), lane change assist (blind spot warning which...
