The damage may have something to do with how far forward you have the driving seat. Mine is all the way back (long legs) so I do rub against the plastic B pillar on exit. However, having said that, it doesn’t seem to be damaged 5k miles later.
I had a similar problem but I couldn’t login at all, not even from the app or website. so maybe not the same cause.
Have you tried the 2 finger re-boot? It may work, it’s worth trying. There are several threads that discuss it on here.
I had to have a new comms unit in the end. (After 4 weeks)...
2 in our village ‘up North’ and another in the next. Lots near us. And many in Marylebone when we visit our pad down there.
I have only charged at home and at my sons so far, so no experience of charging on public chargers but there doesn’t seem to be a shortage on motorways.
This has prompted me to close the loop too. It turned out that my comms module needed replacing. It may have just been a coincidence that I lost connectivity at the same time as Porsche started messing with the servers, or maybe one variety of comms unit didn’t play nice with the new server...
Wait…what?
Are you saying that this wasn’t real? Or that VAG made it happen? Or what.
If I were you, I would cancel the car, as should all customers in front of me. I could then get a CT early.
Just my 2 cents as they say.
Umm, it’s a fancy car; a toy basically. Ok it cost a load of money up front but in the long term not so much.
We all know every car maker has supply issues.
Get over it.
