I may be completely misunderstanding how iPhone apps use use ‘Background App Refresh‘ but could this working in the background affect the car? If the app is constantly seeking info from the car for example. I might be totally wrong, don’t know. Maybe one of our tech gurus will know.
Ordered my 4s in September, didn’t get a freeze date at all, but it was implied it was in January, I was advised to finalise my thinking as soon as I could in case they pulled it early. Car is now at docks in Germany waiting for a ship. Not long now, only 6 months.?
It looks like the standard cable should be a 32A, unless you specify the 16A. This is copied from the Porsche UK standard spec tab.

I remember seeing a video by some Australian shop installing a camera into a VW Golf who were concerned about the curtain airbag in the A pillar being restricted by the wiring for the camera. They advised feeding the wire behind the airbag...
The mobile charger plus should come as standard with a 32A “commando” cable as well as the 13A 3 pin cable. You just attach the one you want to use. So you can get a dedicated 1 phase 32A circuit ( usually over specced a bit to 40A wiring for safety) installed at home to include a blue 32A...
You will get the basic Mobile Charger Plus with a 5m cable included in the standard spec, you don’t need to buy a PMCC (Porsche Mobile Charger Connect). You could even get away with just a 32A commando socket and plug your PMCS into that. You would have to remember to take that with you if you...
Government incentives will play a big part. Company EVs are treated very favourably for tax purposes at the moment. And I believe the Scottish Government gives a interest free loan for the first £20,000.
Saw this the Youtube channel pcarwhisperer.
He said that you should make sure the PMCC should be set up at a minimum of 8 amps or it might kill the 12v battery. I asked how he knew this and he replied:
Hi Michael! There is a Technical Bulletin (TI) "2706 Discharged 12-Volt Battery After...

if they have supplied the wrong lead I would expect they would change it. If not they are available from the dealer...
According to the standard specs for the UK Taycan, the lead from the commando socket should be 32A. So you should get up to 7.2 kW. However, the cable that goes into your socket looks a bit thin, what you might expect for a 13A socket, or maybe even less (though I am by no means an expert)...
Yes, sorry, that’s what I meant. Or at a hotel. Or in an emergency if the public charger you intended to use was broken. The 13A plug will be very slow, but a 32A lead perhaps at a place of work, will give 11KW just like a PodPoint.
Well, you can do that but you would need a 32A Commando outlet and a dedicated RCB etc etc, but you won’t get the grant. I am going to get a Zappi in the garage and keep the mobile charger for use while away from home. Search threads on the forum for more detailed info. How are you charging now?
